"Realish" time DT1 Change Log

BPIP now has a new report that lists DT1 trust inclusion/exclusion changes.

It will update every 10 minutes.  Useful during dramatic times on the forum.  
(DT2 changes will be in a different report, updated weekly)

This is different than LoyceV's trust list - that one is a snapshot in time, this one is a list of changes.

Consider mine like a log of moving truck rentals and hospital birth/death records, while the other is like a census.

Suggestion: one thing that I think could be added is the option to filter events by user(s). Filter by (x) to view the history for just that user, and if possible, filter for multiple users (x) and (y) and so on. Might be interesting and useful for some people.

I was planning to put a subset data just like that on each profile's page.  I just need to work with IB to figure out the best way to show increasing amounts of data.  I am going to update this report so you can select the dates and profiles you want.

Kudos, you time off the forum truely paid off. Since the report updates every 10minutes, will there be an option to view the report of a particular day. e.g if I wanted to view the change log of today in 2weeks time will that option to fitter event by date be available?

I'm thinking along the lines of this url:

It would support a large but limited number of profiles, because of the limits of the URL.

Cool, is there any way to see lower than the page of DT1 trust changes that the link takes you to (I mean for example, yesterday’s changes).

I don’t seem to be able to find a page 2, 3, 4 etc.

I've been planning to make a "dtview-viewer" for a while now, but got stuck and didn't have the time yet to fix it (the HTML format is tricky to process).

I have hourly dtview downloads since April 12. Would you be interested to add those to the list?

Thanks,  but that would require a lot of manual inserting, or time programming an import.  

I would be interested in posting a link to your download whenever you parse it.  That way people could jump between changes and a baseline easier.

I haven't uploaded the files yet. I'll get back to you on this once my dtview-viewer is complete. I plan to only upload a copy of "dtview" when there are changes (I don't want to collect many of the same files).

How easy or otherwise would it be to add in an entry to say if a change caused someone to move over the cut off of 0 net inclusions/exclusions, in either direction - i.e. were included or excluded from DT1 as a result of a change? Or maybe even a number in brackets at the end of every entry listing that user's net inclusions? Or is that too much?

I've added the quick filter to this page, similar to some of the reports, but it can only handle one word/phrase right now (on this page, it's probably only useful for a user lookup at the moment). The other quick filter(s) have other uses like using it to filter positions (most merited members of Staff, just type "staff" in quick filter, as an example, the copper membership sometimes messes with this, though). It's currently not re-querying the database but that is probably a future goal to doing filtering/sorting like this, especially as data grows and we need to do pagination.

First: welcome back from your brief respite from the forum, Vod.  I didn't think you'd be gone that long anyway.

Second: that's a really interesting page you've created, and I'll probably look at it way more than I've looked at the rest of BPIP since you started it (no offense meant, of course).  I'm aware that people change their trust lists all the time, but prior to this there was no easy way to tell who was doing what--or none that I knew of anyway, given that I'm tech-stupid.  Thanks for the work you did to make this.

Looking forward to it. Maybe the final layout could be up to 3 lists:

1. DT1 - DT1 involved
2. DT1 - DT2 involved (DT1 - DT1 would also show up here)
3. DT1 - all the rest involved (DT1 - DT1 and DT1 - DT2 would also show up here)

There is no way I can reasonably parse hundreds of DT2 accounts in "realish" time.   Do you know of a real time list showing DT1 sponsored profiles?   All I have is the weekly dump.

I'll probably limit the "recent" changes to 1,000 like the rest of my pages.  You'll still be able to access all records through the date feature I mentioned above.

Unfortunately the format is a bit clunky - no user IDs (need to search by name) and you need parse strikethroughs and indentations to figure out the hierarchy/inclusions/exclusions.

Ok, understandable. And with a growing number of DT1 and DT2 the list would get even bigger, so that is challenging enough.

You are not talking about the change log, you are talking about the small DT1 icon, correct?

That shows on any member that is on DT1 with a strength greater than -1.
