hphosts listing bitcointalk.org as Malware Distributer

HpHosts is a site that tries to blacklist sites with issues (malware, trojans, spyware, etc) and it grabs a bunch of legitimate sites as well (anyone can submit and it lists them with no verification), a few AV programs do lookups on hphosts as part of their "safe web browsing" services.

Well someone has listed bitcointalk.org http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=bitcointalk.org

Just a heads up, might want to get them to remove it

Edit: Yeah, they're of the opinion that any site allowing free discussion is a "malware distributor". I'm not going to deal with them any more. If you want to bother them about it, feel free.

They consider that tool to be malware itself.

They also list good sites like btjunkie.org and byethost.com, so I'm not too bothered by it. Anyone who blocks sites based on information from this list is an idiot.

Last month there were a number of discussions here about creating stealth programmes which would mine BTC without the knowledge of the PC user.  A lot of people would regard such programmes as malware so I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a report saying that following links on this forum might take you to sites which will use your computing power without your knowledge.
