I have been playing into some few ICO projects lately, and the reality is that I lost a lot of money due to the domination of the bear market and uncertainty of the projects going forward.

As the old saying goes, more than 90% of those projects are either scams, failed to reach soft cap, or not getting any traction in the next few months or so.

Maybe it’s because ICOs are not regulated and investors like me holds all of the risks.

Until now, there are still new ICOs emerging. However, there are also new ones such as STOs (security token offerings), IEOs (initial exchange offerings), and so on. It seems that both STOs and IEOs are already being considered the next big thing in raising crypto funds for starters.

With their ongoing emergence, are ICOs gonna be over soon? Are they gonna saturate and may phase out due to projects turning to STOs and IEOs?

I wanna know about your thoughts regarding this one, and I would greatly appreciate it whether if you agree or not with my opinion. Thank you in advance.

Aren't you think IEOs better than the Scam ICOs and failing projects? With those scams, investors lost their whole investments. some failed project do refund investments. but not all of them. in that case, invest money in IEOs we can sell our tokens with little loss by wise decisions. If IEOs and STOs got success many people will not go for the ICOs. so definitely it will affect to the ICOs.

Facing out of ICO will not be likely as some will still prefer to donico than IEO as a new measure to safe investors .

Well the real investors will prefer ieo than ICO as at the moment for safe reason cos manynico will run away with investors funds while ieo are save with the exchange and can be return if the main soft is not achieve or the project has issue easily to retain the reputation of the exchange.
It seems to me that everything depends not only on the reputation of the cryptocurrency exchange, which holds IEO, but also on the capabilities of the developers of new projects themselves.  The fact is that not all teams will be able to fulfill the conditions set by those exchanges that conduct IEO.  Based on this, the company's ico market will still exist and act.

if ICO is deleted, it is replaced by STO and also the rising IEO. but in my opinion it is difficult to remove the ICO because some investors are still interested at this time. for example ICO Bcnex.

All hope is not lost for ICO projects, its just that investors now prefer IEOs over ICOs but if I have to choose I'd go after any good project no matter what kind of fund raising been used ,how good the project is matters than if its ICO or IEO

Soon? I really think the end is very near. ICOs are no longer working that is no team is considering that path again Instead IEO has taken the show and is doing well to a greater extent.  Nevertheless, in this space many things are possible, one day ICOs might start getting attention but I think it will be more analysed to reduce the rate of scams within it..

now investors still hope that if the ICO can be repaired so I don't think if the ICO will be removed but it is possible if the ICO will be rearranged so that ICO becomes safer and more profitable.

I think there are still people who believe in ICO. But these people will be deceived. TO date, the ICO has died. And he can never rise again.

What makes you think that? This is quite a practical system of raising funds in your projects, so treat it more critically.

it might be a popular consensus that icos are phasing out but the reality is, it is only happening because the scams have existed. Once new regulartory frameworks are implemented in more and more countries, icos will make a come back. it will not be the wild west anymore. so no, I dont think icos will completely phase out.

I think for investor, they dont care about ICO or IEO because most investor just want gain profits and the token get listed in exchangers soon. There is a lot good ICOs and IEOs in market and it should be careful before join in IEO and ICO because both have a risk

maybe he meant something like Korea which regulates related ICO projects in their country. but not all countries do that. if indeed the state does not support investment in the ICO project, I think it is possible that the ICO will be abolished because it is too risky for investment. although not all ICOs are bad.

Soon it will be gone once IEO will start to boom. Due to the scam ICOs that circulate this industry, many people specially investors does not care already in ICO. They lose their trust in ICO because they destroy our investment. IEO and STO will become the greatest fund raising if there is no scam accusation to them.

I dont think ICOs will be dead. Many good ICOs reach the target and i think this indicating its depend on the project and team behind. IEOs from big exchangers is good investment and could be a game changers but i dont think this make ICOs phase out
Mark my word, so long cryptocurrency is still in existence, ICO will never die off, we may have so many scam projects, but I am sure that along the line, ideas will come up that will make this issue resolved. IEO might be reigning now because it is new, same as ICO reigned then, but there is no system that doesn’t have its lapses.

I am already seeing some lapses in form constant dumping, and some few small exchanges taking advantage of IEO to register bad projects that will end up still creating the same scam we are running away from. He only reliable exchange to handle IEO now is Binance and it will be impossible for everyone to participate in any of their released IEO.

I think ICO will be disappearing slowly as IEO and STO are replacing it. But I think there is not tangible change between ICO, IEO and STO. To be fair, IEO, and STO are just the advanced form of ICO to some level. Now the people, investors, bounty hunters and others are preferring IEO and STO thinking that this means of collecting funds would give more investment security.

besides that it also looks at the interest of investors. even though it was not deleted, but if there is no investor interest, I think ICO will stop naturally. for now it is indeed ieo have better trend, let alone get support from a big exchange

I think that ICO as a concept wont disappear.
A good model which I have recently noticed is that first stages are IEOs and then when trust is earned, projects do ICO stage.

No such as i we have seen projects now are going to ico than ieo so it will still remains as this way of fundraising are being used by many good projects like Dencoin tokens that now runs a ico and we can ake investments at this project.

Actually we try to support good project in a crypto market, and IEO has been playing a good role in this issue as effective. It has become a catastrophic route to invest in ICO Because lots of fake and scam ICO. I think more than 70% of the investors are now evaluating the IEO listing coins.
