I was reading the article about "Libra" and decided to share it with you here. Here is the link:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/facebooks-libra-is-here-but-it-might-not-be-what-you-think

My opinion about this new "Coin" is that, it is just a highly centralized shit, created to collect more personal data from people. And of course it is a new Cow for Zuckerberg, who will milk billions out of it. "To run a node, each validator must commit at least $10 million to the project" ... No more comments from me. Please share your opinion about this new "Project"

For me, to tell you frankly, I won't support this coin of Facebook, very obvious that their token is centralize not decentralized.
This things don't know of majority of the Facebook subscribers or followers. Once this Libra will implement to all FB users 100% surely
there every transaction of its users will be visible and no censorship in my opinion and perception only.

Good for entire crypto adoption. It's good that it can bring more people across crypto. What you think?

Against the background of cryptocurrency, everyone is trying to HYIP. In fact, the coin from Facebook is a parody of cryptocurrency, since it loses all its main functions: anonymity and decentralization.

It’s not good for adoption when every individual data on Facebook is not made private
Facebook has all data of users and without data protection; I wonder how privacy and personal security will take place
But we can wait and watch it unfold

Hat is just the aspect that I like about their decision to introduce their cryptocurrency too, because through the introduction of their own coin, many will be aware of cryptocurrency in general, it would now be left for those new people to choose which of the crypto community to join.

I don’t see many people joining the Facebook coin community except for those that would blindly do that because of their lack of understanding, but for me who is well aware of what their coin will be, I am not so sure that I will be much more interested in being a part of their community, although they already have my information on Facebook, so information is not my problem of not joining them, but because the coin will not be so useful to invest in.

there is no doubt that Libra is a shitcoin because it is centralized and private so it also betrays privacy of its users but i have to say these two things you mentioned are NOT features of a cryptocurrency.
simply put a cryptocurrency is a currency that is based on cryptography and the blockchain technology. it can be private and centralized like Libra, Venezuela's el Petro, Indian government's coin (i don't know the name), Iranian government coin (doesn't have a name yet), JPMorgan coin,... or it can be decentralized with high privacy but not anonymity like bitcoin or decentralized with high anonymity like Monero.

the fact is that all of these others are also cryptocurrencies but they are shitty because of the features or lack of them.

I have difficulty understanding why people are so interested in this coin that Facebook will issue. Moreover, a coin with no features or promises!

I have never believed Facebook coin to be cryptocurrency, because the only coin that I will call cryptocurrency are the ones that truly represent decentralization which is the main purpose of creating cryptocurrency using blockchain technology.

what is the essence of cryptocurrency if we cannot have it in a decentralized way, it would rather be better we stick to fiat digital payment, and then we know we are still operating a full centralized digital payment, because that is what Facebook coin is, Facebook will still have full control, and access to people’s information and activities through the use of their Libra coin.

Hmm, I thought that the US government is hell bent on stopping this? And as far as I know only the whitepaper has been publish, and the actual roll out is next year. And from what I read, it a closed, decentralise token so I don't know If people are going to buy on that.

I think people are interested because Facebook is a big company that is successful with its current name and when they announce the launch of Libra coins people will be interested

Honestly, I was shocked at that $10 million to run a node, I don't know but anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I never read anywhere where you need that huge amount just to run a node, this Facebook coin is for whales and big companies only who can commit 10 million not for us small players, but I'm pretty sure every one of us here wants to get a piece of this coin, even if some sectors are calling this another hype coin.

Facebook is partnering up with some of the biggest corporations who would invest 10 million in fb libra coin and will hold bulk supply of this coin as well, good example of old capitalism and centralized system but real crypto is far from it.
