If I were to just pack my bags right now and head to Wall Street, how would I schmooze with the right people? Let's say I have a couple months to spend living in Manhattan to schmooze with some big shots. What is the best way? Oh and I would like to land a job there and stay to make some big money and I am most interested in crypto-currency. Are there entry level jobs to get started and super charge my way into the world of NYC's big hedge fund managers?

Though I don't know which jobs you should take specifically, probably your best bet would be to move there and look for and apply for a low paying job temporarily, and make sure that you network well and with the right people in the process. You're definitely going to need social skills if you want to climb up the ladder faster. Pretty much the same thing with other industries.

That sounds doubtful, I hate to say. You can't just move to Manhattan, show up in a suit on Wall Street, and expect to instantly become a......what is it you're trying to do exactly? Become a professional trader, broker?

Investment banks tend to recruit undergraduates from top tier universities. Internships can be a way to get your foot in the door, but these are generally only opportunities for students. The other route is to get an MBA from a respected university, get your Series 7, Series 63, etc. licenses and get in that way.

If those routes aren't possible, I'd focus on getting your foot in the door at a local brokerage firm, far from Wall Street. Get a few years of experience under your belt, build some industry contacts and references, and then make your push to the big time.

Whatever you do, this is not an overnight process. You're competing with highly qualified, educated, experienced, and often licensed professionals.
