I have Ubuntu 11.1 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. Because I am planning on mining with my GPU, I heard it didn't matter that the Ubuntu was 32-bit so I installed poclbm. After completing the installation I got stuck on the command required to start mining. This is what I got so far
Code:
./poclbm.py -d0 -v -f10 -w128 http://<account username>:<account password>@pit.deepbit.net
I am getting the error "pit.deepbit.net 10/11/2011 20:55:13, No more backup pools left. Using primary and starting over." What am I doing wrong and how do I use the username and password of the workers? Thanks for your help.

What version of poclbm are you using. Try running python poclbm.py --help or -v to find out the version. I  read somewhere else that if it is the beta version it might give you that error.

Get the latest version from here https://github.com/m0mchil/poclbm and see if that works.

Try running it with this command line

python poclbm.py <account username>:<account password>@pit.deepbit.net:8332 -v -w128 -f 2 --device=0 --platform=0 --verbose

that worked great thanks!

I am curious about one thing though. That night, while I was running the miner someone in a remote country got access to my credit card and used it. Should I assume the incident was unrelated, have there been previous incidents with a person's credit card and bank information being hacked, and/or should I increase the security of my network? thanks again.

No, this can't be related.
You were running an open-source software and you can just take a look into that poclbm.py file to check what exactly it was doing.
