what can we do about people who leave false feedback? claiming we attempted to scam them???

Per the feedback left today by user jrc209 - he claims I pm'd him about getting an secured loan - he there is no pm of this. Are there admins that can see pm's and verify?

I would like to have this feed back removed!

that is so stupid. this guy went out today alone and left like half a dozen fake negative feedbacks all saying we asked for a loan - the account is an alt for another user who amazingly everyone he left negative feedback for was blasting him for backing out of a deal where the buyer had already paid escrow and had to get a refund because the dude wouldnt provide proof of shipment.

I am new here and trying to build a good reputation and this asshole is lying.

Trust me, nobody will pay attention to that rating. Ignore it. I would also suggest to remove your red trust you posted for that user (retaliatory trust is frowned upon) and post a neutral instead, including your suspicion that this is an alt of the other user. That will alert anyone who cares.

why would I use neutral? and two wrongs do not make a right? what wrong am I committing? the user is fraudulently claiming I contacted him for an unsecured loan - i have not quoted, commented, replied to, sent any pm to this user. My negative feedback on his false claim is justified.

Its not a matter of big concern for you because there is so many feedback like these where those guys used trust system as a matter of joke. Every responsible user always check the reference link for justifying a negative feedback.

using a neutral feedback does nothing - same as a negative feedback apparently. and whether it has value to you or not, it does to me. When you have hundreds of positive feedback one negative might not matter to you, but when you have 5 feedback and 1 is bad - then that is 20%. I did no such scam and now 20% of my feedback is negative because of it.

I like how all the people with tons feedback say the proper thing to do is to leave neutral feedback and look down upon me for not doing so but then do nothing to the liars and/or scammer accounts. So far the only thing that I have seen anyone banned for is plagiarizing a for sale post. Copying someone is a ban worthy offence but slandering with lies is not. I love this site but at times I feel that the ones in charge have their heads up their asses with some of the idiotic logic that is here.

he removed the negative feedbacks and changed his email address - I guess someone/or something go thru to him or he suffered from remorse. I removed my negative feedback on him as well.

This is not true anymore.

We have a banner at the top of our post due to one person's negative feedback:

This is basically destroying our business. We are legendary members, have been active since 2014, have over 5000 customers and one guy can give feedback and this is plastered over our thread. Something is wrong here.

Anyone with any ideas on how to handle it?

You don't have any active flag nor any negative trust from a DT user.

There's some strange trust settings that are enabled, causing either liuwei88 or by rallier's feedback to count as Trusted.

They were pre-flag and thus count towards that warning.
