As most of us know, the Silk Road marketplace was shut down in 2013, jailing Ross Ulbricht in the process.

The Silk Road was shut down mostly because of illegal stuff being bought and sold on the platform.

Do you see the same or something similar happening to Vitalik Buterin in the future because he made a platform that people can use to scam other people with(ICOs on the Ethereum platform)?
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Ross Ulbricht was railroaded. Many of the charges were manufactured in order to create an excessive penalty in order to make an example out of him. Under the laws at the time he had certain protections as a platform but these were ignored.

Are you joking or?

Do you even realize the type of comparison you're making?

Ross Ulbricht:  computer programmer convicted of money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic fraudulent identity documents, and conspiracy to traffic . His intention was to do money laundering, computer hacking, etc. He was directly involved in the act.

Vitalik Buterin: computer programmer and founder of an open source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract (scripting) functionality. Buterin cannot be held accountable for other's people actions. He is not directly involved in scam crowdfunding schemes. If you send Vitalik to jail, make sure to also send founder of Kickstarter for having scammers running crowdfunding schemes: https://www.geektime.com/2017/04/19/these-kickstarter-scammers-took-the-money-and-ran-the-full-story-and-tips-on-how-to-avoid-being-a-victim-of-crowdfunding-fraud/

Then all countries who have their own currency should be guilty. I can just pay for any illegal activity in USD  notes and that`d be actually more anonymous than an ETH transaction.
