if you are aiming to be a method of payment, have you asked at least couple of merchants or shops that will test your system? since you are offering fast syncing, low fee and other features, that are already been offered by a lot of altcoins, what you can do is employ your coin to many merchants/shops as many as possible...this will give value to your coin if you have collabs to those merchants.

How many transactions per second will it enable?

This hard fork has a slightly different purpose. The number of transactions will not change, it will still be limited by the maximum block size. The maximum transaction capacity will increase. Now the maximum that can be sent in one transaction is 200 XCOIN, after the hard fork it will be possible to send up to 100 000 XCOIN at a time.
