Altcoins not gaining much attention this time . Few people only trading in altcoins nowadays. I believe the little hype in Bitcoin has enabled people channeling their funds in  Bitcoin . Altcoin also will perform well this year but not as Bitcoin . Most ICO organizers convert their funds into Fiat and Bitcoin and this also is affecting Ethereum altcoin . I believe altcoin also will soon follow the suit of Bitcoin .I am a firm believe in Ethereum, Binance and Litecoin. Those altcoins are going to perform well.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

it is obviously very bad, if a coin has a low volume it certainly indicates that the coin is not used by many traders. and the traders certainly prefer coins whose volume is high because it can be profitable, unlike low coins it is difficult to make a profit.

Alt coins will low trading volume is difficult to survive and if market is down then we may expect less price in bear market better to concentrate on good trading volume coins
