23 users now signed up to the Premier League Pool. Lets try get it to at least 30 people like it was last year. I honestly thought we'd get a lot more interest. A few users told me that they'd for sure play the next season and a couple of others told me that they had friends who wanted to play as well. Ask anyone you know who is interested in football or football betting as you get an entire season of betting fun for around £25 which isn't going to break the bank. Hopefully the price of BTC will rise during the season and stops a couple of days before the next halving so we could end up with an expanding pot like the first pool (though obviously the opposite is also true  ).

I also thought we would break the 30 participants line very easily but that assumption was based on most/all previous participants joining again. I know there are some new players, I brought 2 new faces to our pool and probably someone else brought some new players as well. That means quite a lot of previous participants didn't join. It could be some of them didn't found this thread.

Have you tried sending PMs to previous participants and letting them know about this thread? I remember there was some talk about that previously. If you don't have a ready list of them (or time) I can compile it for you since I am on holiday and have some free time at the moment.

Yeah, I PMd everyone. Had a couple of responses but pretty much just from people who said they weren't interested unfortunately. I'm sure there's lots of other people who would play if they just know about it as I know there's a lot of football fans here and I'm sure there's a lot who gamble on it. £25 is nothing really and a football better will probably spend that in one week. Anyone on a sig campaign could probably earn that with a handful of posts and you can make your money back by talking about the pool throughout the season and there's also the chance to win a decent sized prize. Think the 1st place prize was around £1k last year with 30 people but we also had the £500 sponsorship from cloudbet. Had an offer for around £200 this year so that's not too bad.

Keep spreading the word. I'm sure some of you guys have friends that would be interested.

Yeah, last year we had 30 participants, but as remember, quite many of them stopped playing after some time, so, probably they aren't interested to join this year. At the end of the season we had only less than 20 active players.
But from what I see, there are lot of people in gambling discussion board who have good knowledge in football and might be interested to join. I'm sure that we still can get 30 participants.

I personally would not mind to pay 0.005BTC for the entry fee. Come on guys!

Same, but it's whether everybody else will. 0.005 is £40.08 as of right now so it's not much more but the price is BTC is all over the place now. I'll see where were at in a couple of weeks from now but I'm really hoping we can get 30 users. Newcomers seem to be pretty dead right now though. I know there'll be some people who want to join when it starts as well which is annoying. If we know how many people are playing at least I can work out the prizes in advance which may entice a few new users. A 1k prize pot is nice though and hopefully we'll see a rally sometime next year leading up to the halving.

After we pay entry fee, we will get a link to join the pool. That means a week before the PL starts probably, since our pool organizer/captain said he intents to start collecting money around that time.

If you made Superbru account you can already chose some results and they will be entered when you join the pool. Just be careful not to lock them, there could be new injuries/transfers before league start.

So i am guessing nobody got more than 7 correct scores last season? Don't feel like googling conversion rate for those currencies I know nothing about. But seeing that made me realize they pay the prizes to people all over the world. There is lot of similar sites that send awards only to GB or USA depending where they are based.

I'll be modest and gun for 6 correct scores. Jersey would be nice enough reward. I really don't know what would be my choice. Probably LFC or maybe some smaller club with nice away jersey. It is a bonus if they have a crypto related sponsor, I am seeing more and more of that.

I would be surprised if anyone got higher than that but there's plenty of times I've been only one goal away from many more correct scores so it's not impossible but the odds are heavily stacked against you. It's probably similar odds to winning the lottery for the 8,9,10 results.

I rarely bet on correct scores but just outcomes and I've always been in profit at the end of the season so far. As I've said before, I usually just stick to three-folds and often go for Skybet's enhanced offers that they do.

I am no where near to guess a right correct score. Luckily I get one or two. Recent time in Copa America, I got one correct score and that was a 0 - 0 draw. The story behind was - the teams were playing their worse in earlier matches and I was not doing well in my earlier picks. Out of frustration I picked that 0 - 0 draw and guess what! It was indeed the final result LOL. So, honestly speaking there were no expertise from me on that pick.

My gambling is always frustrating too. My start is always good in any league and then I think I start to get greedy and eventual before the season ends I find myself lost more money than I won. Sometimes I end up losing so much that in important matches (Big matches) I restrict myself from betting. But in the last season (Both in EPL and CL) Liverpool never disappointed me 🙂

I hope this year Liverpool get the taste of the EPL season title.

No way we are getting that. We will have maybe 10 new recruits all together and I highly doubt there will be more than one or two from UK. I am hoping you will get some more sponsorship offers. 200 is not bad but maybe some better offer comes closer to the deadline.


Regarding locking the picks. If you are strong minded individual with objectively oriented mind than by all means leave the picks unlocked and tamper with them until last minute. At that point we have maximum info available and can make best decisions.

However, I have often found that if I change picks minutes before match because of some news or feeling I usually end up with less points than what I would get if I just left my original pick stand. That is why started contemplating locking my picks. Added bonus is that I can see other people picks and if there is some individual whose predictions I value I could use his prediction and put some money on that result.
