Okay lets be honest here this was a bit biased . Inviting your little brother into the show of course would have some bias and you would react a lot more comfortably since it is your own little brother and not some business man like the others, your brother turned out to be a bigger business man than many I have seen and he has a clear business mind as well but it is still your brother so even if he becomes worlds richest man ever one day (lets hope so) you would still be like this I am 100% sure.

I loved the story of CEO you know someone is very business minded when even at 9-10 years old he is asking the big brother what a CEO is and knows what it means, I was kinda like that keeping a ledger of all my money in a small toy like safe and writing down how much I have day by day and writing what I spent or where I earned etc. This was a good episode all around.

An interesting video, but it was worth doing a shorter interview. Removing such stories from their lives. Personally, it is more pleasant for me to listen about the project itself, and not something that was long ago in youth.

That's their way to do their marketing. Some folks love the background of a CEO to be clear. They believe that if the CEO is someone who is visionary, like hoping to have a business since his youth then the company might have a bigger chance to succeed. That's just a believe though, not necessarily supported by facts.

You mean your personal information or a person's data (interests, needs, ...).
If it's a person's data, I totally agree with you. Because your clicks have left others aware of what you are interested in and what you need. After collecting so much information, the advertising strategy will be more accurate and easier.
This is also one of the resources that businesses need to pay for data providers.

Marketing is all about presenting stories that somehow can connect with the intended audience. They are sharing their stories all because they are projecting to be real and not just another fakes hiding somewhere below the table like what many projects are doing. Swissborg is actually one of the projects I supported in 2017 and although it is still has to recover from the market dump, I think it is doing good as a platform. It is nice to hear its CEO talking many things in that YouTube video being interviewed by his own older brother no less (and they look very similar in terms of facial features). There are many things I am learning and getting inspired just watching him talk about many things.

I would rather say, TIME is the future global currency, not data! I am sure we can have a reasonable number of constructive arguments but if we are thinking to move to a regime where everyone will get equal payment without any discrimination, TIME can only solve this! Data also has a big value in the market today and only a couple of IT conglomerates like Facebook, Google, Apple etc. are making real use of it! But when it comes to equality and ensuring proper wealth distribution, TIME has no competitor!

Also when we talk about Global currency, it has to be built on a standardized platform. Do you have a better standardized and Global platform other than TIME?? It needs profound though process from the Global think tanks, but I believe it is only currency that will be used in the future! Data is just becoming a commodity which is controlled by few privileged corporate!

There could be different data also, those which I can imagine now -
GPS data,where you go, how you get there;
your health data , this is extremely sensitive and insurance companies would love to get their hands on them;
 Your money spending data

All of this is money, big money. A lot of companies are willing to pay to get data like this.
We live in a time when people have to think of their privacy more and more.

I would say that data is very important, and as far as I know, been hearing this since early 2000's. When company started to look at every data and try to interpret it. So this is not new to me, however, blockchain just put in into a different level, as data is immutable and can't be altered which make it more 'magical' to some.

I think they got the idea of currency and commodity around.

Data monetisation in my opinion has more to do with the selling of personal data as a commodity, as opposed to using it as any sort of currency, given the fact that it's simply not fungible, nor is it a good store of value in the long run.

Of course, if they were talking about the data stored within the blockchain that essentially constitutes cryptocurrencies, then it would be an entirely different story. But I think that their focus of this more so on data mining, data warehousing by firms, etc.
