I've run into an issue with one of my S2 miners. Since yesterday the miner was down and now when I turn it on it boots but doesn't finish the boot sequence I think. The red light on the frontpanel stays on and the fans will keep running at 100% and not able to ping the miner, although it does have link state and see some activity on port. Any one run into this problem and know how to resolve it?
Tried: - Moving out all modules ( except one ) - Moving out all modules - Removing and inserting the controller board again. - Removing the beagle bone from the controller board and add it again. - Tried reset - Dump img on the sd card again. - Dump img on a new sd card. - Swap out power supply with new one.
I am a bit at a loss here as none if it helped and miner is unusable. Personally I think its due to the controller board but sure.
Anyone have some advice?
Thanks
What you are seeing there is usually a SD card problem, if the image is corrupt. Sometimes it helps to just eject the card and reinsert it and reboot the miner, otherwise you'll have to burn a new image. I see that you have already done that, but when I've had the blank screen in the past, it's been the SD card as it can't boot. If you see text on the lcd screen then your problem is with your network, but it sounds like your fans are running full speed and it's not booting which would mean it's the sd card.

Well, so I am having issues with my B2 unit From time to it usually powered off itself and I have to open, take the click out and put back in and everything works ok for some time. But today it happens like every 20 minutes or so. All the asics works ok and I have no further problem, so I guess my power supply is dead yes ? Does Bitmain provides a new one ? I had a similar issue and it was the power supply slowly giving up. Eventually I could only run 9 cards or it wouldn't run for more than 2 seconds. Bitmain did replace the PSU though and it's been running fine ever since.

If you own the other page you can just clean it up yourself, but it looks more like your account got hacked as the posts for bitmaintechs is from the same userid as the legitimate posts.

Got another S2 today and I have to say that Bitmain have been listening to us as this one has a nice blacking plate held in place with 4 screws on each side to keep the cards in place. They have also started banding the box.
The previous one I got through a GB had every card loose inside the chassis but luckily all still in tact so I was able to reassemble and it is working fine. This one arrived via the same carrier and while the box did have some wear the unit inside was all still in one piece and not a single part was loose. Big difference.

Nice that's good news to read - expecting 2 tomorrow (they've been on an epic journey) - hopefully I'll plug 'em in and they'll just work - like bitmain shit usually does.

can someone tell me please what a reasonable ratio of discarded shares in the miner status summary for the S2 would be. As my S1's show an accepted amount of a lot higher than the discarded number but my new S2 is showing the discarded as being vastly higher that the accepted.
Elapsed GH/S(5s) GH/S(avg) FoundBlocks Getworks Accepted Rejected HW Utility Discarded 15m16s 882.50 1011.66 0 44 195 3 193 12.78 21164 Stale LocalWork WU DiffA DiffR DiffS BestShare 0 278515 14132.68 199680 3072 0 0
and with a best share of 0 is it actually mining??
