Hello Bitcointalk Team,

Opporty has been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism. Now we cannot post, edit or delete our messages. Please review our Bitcointalk account, and help us appeal the permanent ban of posting or sending messages on bitcointalk.org, so we can post and send messages on the Bitcoin Forum again.

We have checked our posts, searching for spam and/or plagiarism, and found 3 instances where we replied to our follower’s message with short common phrases. Please find this only plagiarism issue from Opporty’s account below:

We did not copy and paste these phrases from any other accounts, we just used these common phrases to provide answers. Except for these cases, all other Opporty posts and messages consist of unique content prepared by our team for the community.

Opporty’s account officially represents our company. There are two Bitcointalk threads with our official announcement and news posts: Opporty ICO and Opporty Bounty. These threads were created for different topics and audiences, and we have shared some common company info on both of our threads. We duplicated some of our posts with important news in our second Bitcoin thread, which is probably why the account was flagged for spam. Our Opporty Bitcointalk messages are not plagiarism, they are original content generated by our team. If the posts are considered to be spam by forum moderators, please consider our ban as temporary, and help us recover our account. Please give us the opportunity to edit our posts and remove duplicates. We understand this is a serious issue, and we will make sure something like this will never happen again.   

We never copy other forum members’ messages on Bitcointalk, and we did not copy any content from the Internet to post on Bitcointalk. We did not copy the messages, even from our own website, whitepaper, or other sources. Kindly exclude the duplicates messages from our rating, as the issue was an irregularity, and Opporty has taken every measure to ensure that spam and plagiarism will not occur in the future.

Mods will not just ban a user due to plagiarism without a solid proof.

Wait if the reported post will be shared here.

On the meantime, you can used other account to become a new representative. The user Opporty only created your bounty thread which is already a dead thread. Meaning you can freely modify your ANN thread because it has a different thread starter.

Thank you for your reply. The Opporty account has autoban, and I understand the issue has certain causes. We have checked all Opporty posts, searching for any spam and plagiarism, and we would appreciate it if you could explain the reason for the ban, and help us solve the problem so we can prevent this issue from recurring in the future. We are requesting to recover the account from the ban, in order to continue sending, editing, and deleting our messages on bitcointalk.org.

Please let us know if and how we have violated the rules of the Bitcoin Forum, and we will correct our approach to using this forum for our account and threads.   

The Opporty thread is live, and while we have not made recent updates, we would like to modify our older threads, reply to participants and post messages with our latest news. Kindly clarify how we can freely modify our ANN thread. We have asked Theymos to help us transfer thread ownership so we can moderate our threads. We understand that Bitcointalk Administrators are very busy, and we appreciate your support regarding our issues.

Yes, even good users here would need to prove their worth in the forum and even if there are users too that will going to attest the users worth in a certain local boards or section still not guarantee for a lift of  a ban unless the mods itself will decide to ban just ban user in wearing signature over a period of time.

No other possible reason for the ban and this one really looks like plagiarism. I am checking at earlier posts of OP profile but maybe reported thread or replies had been deleted already where plagiarized content were being made. Will just wait for other users input in this matter.

On the ban message, there is an email address where you can write to appeal the ban.

What may have happened is that some text was on an Opporty related website and also posted here by the Opporty bitcointalk account, without a source to the website.
If this is something linked to the project and that originates from the project team, then it's not plagiarism if they copy/paste their own texts.

Plagiarizing is taking work of others and pass it for your own.
Unless we know the exact post that flagged the account for plagiarism, we can't be sure of what happened.

Getting a reply from the email is likely impossible so you could wait for the person who reported you for permaban or wait for the staffs to respond.

Why not "quote" tientien1's post ?

If this is the one, even if this is technically plagiarism, that is not malevolent, pretty much on the opposite. They copy/pasted a warning from another user regarding their own project.
I don't know if there is any kind of tolerance, but in my view this is far away from someone trying to copy/paste in order to increase their post score / farm their account.

I don't think this makes it any better. They've been multi-bumping that thread like crazy (bursts of 5 or even more posts) and on top of that copied another user's post. It's financially-motivated shitposting just like those farmers you mention.

Thanks for pointing this out to me, didn't notice how bad it was. They've been bumping their thread every hour for some period of time.
