Hello another Noob here;

Posted 2 transactions to 2 different valid addresses and do not have a positive balance.  Used Electrum and lack the experience to be able to read the block chain correctly and understand what is going on.  I have a great suspicion that I've been Phished and the BTC stolen by scammers.  One transaction had low fees selected by accident, so after reading some info assumed that it was stuck, however it has thousands of confirmations.  Can anyone help decipher this and tell me what's going on? The other transaction looks like it completed quickly, but I'm not sure.  Looks to be gone since nothing has appeared in my wallet.  Have successfully made about 4 other transactions over the last year without incident, until these two.

Transactions are:

a48fcc9f06994823d12474ab73e5528d0b3dce6481c44554c5510bff7a9df22b

&

d52471f38b60473bb4d2df58524cf608ee1ef23892546c66879ccdf7bbb34484

Appreciate any help anyone can offer.. If I've lost out I'd like to learn and leave it behind and be much more careful next time.

Cheers

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

#1 transaction
1HBEHFquzqm5AkjvhTUFARJ3s5w3UakMn6 sent :
0.00990083 BTC to 1NuYFJBMoWeKomQoyVQKQwhNRawibcrhdy
0.02800000 BTC to 3BYSWP6Fjc8sxqzBMsZd7ooBqo1cHfM2xn
#2 transaction
1NuYFJBMoWeKomQoyVQKQwhNRawibcrhdy sent:
0.00973496 BTC to 3QfcnWnuxMJamB2QdtpXjwi6rQbDPWnz43.

Both of them are confirmed. Can you tell me which one is your address and which kind of address is it? Exchange wallet or your personal wallet? Here's some possibility:
1. If it's an exchange address, then your account might not be updated yet, or they just scammed you.
2. If it's your personal address, then your wallet might be out of sync. If you use Electrum, maybe you didn't get fully synced yet (though I doubt this is the case if you made the TX using Electrum).

The last TX shows that the balance is being forwarded to a single address. Did you send your funds to an exchange wallet with the #2 transaction?

1HBEHFquzqm5AkjvhTUFARJ3s5w3UakMn6 was my (standard) wallet; how would I go about getting Electrum to Synch?  Electrum connects just fine but I am not sure what else to do given the options in Preferences, and cannot find documentation.

Both transactions should have gone to the same physical wallet, using two different addresses (3BYSWP6Fjc8sxqzBMsZd7ooBqo1cHfM2xn, 3QfcnWnuxMJamB2QdtpXjwi6rQbDPWnz43).  I also had RBF checked, however I did not have the ability to increase the fee and resend, even though I am using the newest version)

Those bitcoins were sent to other addresses. There is something weird about the 3BY... address. It has many transactions and not just the one you listed. Are you sure that it is yours?

These are the details from Electrum

How do I synch my Electrum Wallet?
And how am I to know that I have downloaded a bogus copy of electrum?  I am still using the original copy that was successful in making previous transactions, however I was told to upgrade to 3.3.6

How do I synch my Electrum Wallet?

If you have a green dot at the bottom-right corner, then your Electrum is synchronized.
Since Electrum relies on the online server to handle the chain data, it doesn't have to sync much.

Edit:
And how am I to know that I have downloaded a bogus copy of electrum?  I am still using the original copy that was successful in making previous transactions, however I was told to upgrade to 3.3.6

At downloading the installer, you should check the signature. https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/
On the other side, I still use 3.3.4 and works well. I'll probably upgrade in the near future though.

what physical wallet? whose addresses are those?
utxo of those addresses were used/joined with other utxo from many more addresses
they seem to be part of big wallet, but they don't look like deposit or payment addresses

He may mean non Segwit wallet.

@Sinistar81 can you please share wallet address from which you send and to whom you send (your own wallet? Exchange wallet? or something else?)? Yeah I know it can easily available on blockchain but it will be easy if you share here.

@OP what version was your previous electrum? did you upgrade thru a link in a popup notification?
you could've been phished and downloaded a fake electrum 3.3.6
check out the url posted by NeuroticFish, verify your current electrum by following the instructions on that page

he already mentioned all related addresses in post #5
but he hasn't explained the nature of two transactions and who owns the receiving addresses 3...

I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully, next time you'll always verify the signature before installing Electrum or any other wallet. A lot of phishing and scam attempt is going on right now.

You might want to sweep your wallet(s) just in case, and never use the wallet or seed that was used alongside the fake Electrum.
