You know what you were banned for so you should know how not to do it again. It's not about the link to the article, but more about not putting the text in quotation. When don't quote it and don't include the source you're posting it as your own. If you do at least one of these things you shouldn't be in trouble, but best if you do both. It's just ethics.

The guidelines are readily available. All you have to do is read them up. The shared by the user above will be very helpful to you. The forum has zero tolerance on plagiarism and can attract a permanent ban, so be very careful when sharing information from external source. Always make sure the post contains a link from the source.

Have you edited your post and added a reference link to it? If you haven't done so yet, I strongly recommend doing it as soon as possible. Failure to include a reference link could result in the post being reported to the moderators for plagiarism.

Everyone is highly welcomed to the forum. Just abide by the rules and with what you've said, you have to reference wherever you're getting information that you've just copied.

Just read those pinned posts on this board and you'll see a lot of helpful topics that will aware you of the dos and don'ts in the forum.

Even outside of the forum, once you copy and pasted it from the article it's considered stealing other people's work or copy-pasting, without citing a source of the link or commonly called plagiarism.  It's important to always properly cite your sources and give credit where credit is due.  If you're unsure about whether or not you need to cite a particular source or how to do so, it's always better to err on the side of caution and include a citation.

You did not include the link to that specific post for reference but you can edit it and include the link that refers to your post, I advise you that you just extract the most important point of the article quote it and include the link to your posts, avoid copy-pasting the whole article, this is a community and opinion based discussion not a copy pasting discussion and about the rules of this forum, I don't want to spoon feed anyone it's his obligation to look for it and read and understand, it's his guidelines on all his action here in Bitcointalk.

Before you become active in a forum it is important to read the rules of the organization because ignorance is not an excuse. Plagiarism is one of the most grievous offense in this platform that can lead to permanent ban. You must never forget to add a link of the source of your information. You have to spend time and read the guidelines yourself and as you get fully engaged in the forum, you will gradually get acquainted with other rules. All the best bro.

This is making you look rather too guilty before being caught in the act though... Maybe you dunno how to add reference links for proper citations, that's fine... All you need to do is to COPY THE LINK on whatever sites you got the informations from ( though Theymos doesn't allow links from improper sources as it turns out to be phishing links, but that's the reasons why you need to careful where you get informations from at first).. then paste it below the post and that's it.
That's actually a beginning step to citations in here but as time fades, you'll get to learn important too.

I think there is a bigger issue at hand if somebody posts phishing links randomly without knowing anything other than being banned on the forum. If that happens, pretty sure their device is probably hacked and their password/account/etc is not secured. That aside, obviously your posts will get removed/you will get banned if you share virus/malware/phishing links on the internet. That is not new, and OP or anyone should familiarize themselves with posting rules (especially since most of them are pinned) before making new posts.

I always tell beginners to read and scroll around the forum before doing anything else. There is no need to rush making posts here and there. Even if you want to rank up quickly, you're still gated by activity and merit. You need to make meaningful posts in the first place, and I doubt you can do that without being aware of the forum rules.

In life we're all prone to mistakes as no one is above mistake, in order to avoid falling victim we should as much as we can to apply caution in all we do as the law is kinda blind to even acts some out of mistake, maybe because we can't really indicate which act was done deliberately or out of a mere mistake. The forum is not a difficult place to be for anyone as long the rules are followed with. Good a thing you must have leant from your supposed mistake not to repeat it, just give yourself to reading and knowing other forum rules and regulations as it will be of great guidance to your growth in the forum.
