yes, for IEO you should be a little wary because the launchpad which has a high volume of trade can fail to do this, especially idax, it seems to be avoided because there are indications of scam, especially I saw the project that held IEO there (migranet) experienced a very severe price decline even reaching 1000% maybe because of the influence of fud or something else, and also ieo on bw.com you have to be careful too because the same thing happened there

Indeed, the project should not be trusted with confidence simply because they held an IEO at a well-known exchange. I prefer the exchange to be taken into consideration in analyzing the project, if the exchange is good but the team is not good then it is better not to invest in it.

I don't know about lying about amount raised since I have not seen strong evidence on that. There is lack of transparecy for sure but that's not enough. With regards to dumping, I thought everyone knew this would be happening already? It's pretty common among crypto crowdfundings now.

I think its not fair to judge other exchanges because they are not famous, the success of the IEO does not rely solely in the exchanges but also the team behind the project and how they are going manage their it. By the ways Bittrex, is where I first purchased my alts 4 years ago

Yes, IEOs are playing a bug role to help get rid of scammers but just like in ICOs we shouldn't throw caution away, due diligence should always be our watchword as it's a matter of money. Exactly! What we thought to work out fine at least for the moment is starting to fail so fast. Things have started nosediving so fast that some of these exchanges are refusing to even do a proper remittance of the amount received to projects that holds IEOs on them.

I still stick with my thinking that the IEO is only good for short-term investments because all investors who buy a coin from the IEO will definitely sell all of their coins when they can be bought and sold.

An exchange can offer to promote an IEO ,but can't guarantee the price of the token afterwards. Yes IEOs in Binance and other exchanges always have been successful with the price maintaining a good growth for a while same might not be said about other exchanges; that is to say these exchanges having a successful IEO are doing things the right way so as to have a continual trend of successful IEOs thereby having more users while attracting more projects.
Other exchanges which the token dumps far below should be studied to know what actually happened.
Also, looking at Binance IEO for example, you will agree with me that most of the projects are always good ones with an efficient, thus one of the reasons their IEOs always pay off.

The new trend has come, and I think the investor moves their funds to the exchange and they want to participate in the IEO. I hope the investor knows what will they do, and we can hope that they will research the project and find more information about the project, so they don't invest in the wrong project. Yes, its very important to research more about exchanges before investing in IEO. Most of the exchanges only stimulate sales in order to lure investors when the coin start trading on exchange. If these exchanges are well checked then one will realize that they actually didn't raised the amount they announce as the outcome of IEO.

I agreed with the fact you stated. Investors these days must be extremely careful about the Exchange they are buying IEO . Some exchangers lie about the amount raised and this always leads to huge decline in the price after listing . I will suggest buying IEO from Kucoin and Binance. I believe these exchangers are more transparent  and having high reputation.

Newcomers into the space or moonboys thinking IEO's will give the profits ICO's gave in 2017 will get REKT. I don't think it's smart to just throw your money into something so unstable. Ofcourse, high risk could mean high reward, but the risk of losing your money is way to much out there. Unregulated exchanges that give IEO's makes you wonder

What is good with IEO is we can be assure that the project is not a scam.
we saw alot of ICO who went out to be a scam, at this IEO the team needs to pay that exchange some amount.
And the third party who will do IEO is the one to review first the team and its project before doing a public sale.

I agree on you, honestly I am having a hard time distinguishing a good project from a bad one, scammers are doing greatnow if they applied to exchange, they have to prove that they are legit, where as on ICO the burden is on the investors and bounty hunters.

If you are not going to invest in the crypto of the exchange then it is meaningless to make a marketing for promoting the IEO on special exchanges. Restrictions are not strict problem for the investors who bought this coin for the investing in the IEOs.
