For now the transaction costs for ERC20 are already very low and I did a number of transactions yesterday and I used a low cost to make the transaction. So now it can still be said that it has the lowest cost for conducting transactions.

Tron and eos are the main competitors for ethereum.

The problem is that you may create a token for that plataforms and the plataform suddenly may be gone. Ethereum is far more stable in my opinion

Also, ethereum costs are very low.

No transaction cost will be a problem , as the plataform would be vulnerable to ddos attacks. Iota is trying something like that but there is no tokenization

don' forget about some new coin launched few month ago, that a BinanceCoin with new technology they bring, fast transaction in just 1 second as binanc claimed, and low fee transaction by using binancechain, many project based on Ethereum are now migrate using binancechain

What to consider is the adaptability of it, such as support for wallets so the created tokens can easily be used, right now erc20 has the best newbie support.

Is there any alternatives to erc20 tokens?
That have a very low or no transaction cost on another blockchain?

We are thinking mainly for the use case of tokenizing services.
The main issue with so many other platforms aside ethereum, is that, they are centralized. Therefore, you do not have total right on the token in your wallet and that makes your asset vulnerable. Ethereum is still very much secured, because its smart contract is built on decentralized system.

I think the cheapest in terms of token creation and fees is wave but I am not sure of any project that have been very  successful emanating from the wave dex, maybe because it is not pupular yet or lacks utility. Neo platform is better though but I think procedure is a bit rigorous

There are tons of blockchains that you can compare with ETH. BNB for example has launched their own chain and more and more tokens are migrating at the moment. The cheapest blockchain has NEO, I believe they do not require transaction costs at all.
