What kind of surprise? What happened when Villarreal played with Bayern is not the same of what is happening as Villarreal is playing with Liverpool. Bayern first lost to Villarreal, Villarreal tighten his defence in a way Bayern will not be able to score. Between Villarreal and Liverpool, Liverpool has already scored 2 goals. For some reason, I think this match is not going to be a draw because Villarreal is surely going to go for goals and I think that is either going to work in favor of them or against them. I really don't see how the match might end in a draw because I don't think Liverpool is a team who is going to sit behind and just defend. if Villarreal goes for ultra attacking football I think Liverpool is going to try to look for potential counterattack chances and try to catch Villareal off guard.

I think that if Villareal does not manage to score a goal withing the first 45 minutes then Liverpool will definitely go through to the final. If Villareal manages to score though than i think even a strong team like Liverpool would get nervous if it is still 1-0 (1-2 in total) after 75 minutes or something. That being said though i don't see a reason why Liverpool should not be the team that tries to control and dominate the game even in the second leg and at the home stadium of Villareal. They definitely will not risk to much or even anything but if Liverpool scores the first goal then they are definitely through.
