For those who are using iPhone and androids be careful ,their are some crypto mobile wallets on store that aren't popular or well knowned ,please do not use them ,some of this apps have keyloggers pre installed ,they will easily steal your backup phrase

Especially those named 'bitcoin wallet' like in the picture below, they are well rated and they are in different colors

Head to playstore or iOS store and type in just 'bitcoin wallet' you will see many fake bitcoin wallets popping up ,go for popular mobile wallets like coinomi ,trust ,enjin ,mycelium ,coinbase ,bitpay ,copay, bread ,jaxx or atomic wallet.

Thank you for a good information. For me I will not try new app in using crypto online wallet. I will go always at the proven and tested wallet that many crypto users that already used from yhe start that crypto industry are not so popular and famous like what we have on the present market situation. Be carefull every one we need to secure our investment don't be attract on the marketing strategies that they always do to make some illegal activity like scam and fraud

Never download any apps from your devices which you dont know exactly. And android users will be more careful because some legal apps has back doors and hackers use it.

It is always better to stay away from mobile wallets, IMO. Before mobile devices and mobile wallets are weaker, and more vulnerable than desktop wallets. However, if someone have need to bring their coins around to do their business stuffs, they can store part of their funds in mobile wallets. yes, just enough funds to run their daily business. The main part of their funds should be kept out of mobile wallets and mobile devices.

As the market grows back, Scammers become more and more dangerous, We should only look for names that are highly valued instead of looking for wallet with Bitcoin names.

If you find any scam wallet or you have suspicions about one, you should report it so it can be removed from the store, this is the best way to fight against this, no only not downloading those fake wallets but also reporting them. On the other hand, store managers should strengthen controls when it comes to crypto wallets.

Thanks for informing crypto mobile wallets users ,there are fake wallets on play store ,I've installed one in the past that have no backup phrase or private keys so I quickly uninstalled the app and scan my phone with good antivirus just to be sure I'm safe

Thanks for this info mate it really helps a lot even that I never tried downloading any of them because I only used popular wallets to store my bitcoins and even the altcoin wallets I use are those trusted and being here for long

And aside from wallets also those exchange we use must be reliable because lots of them now are also scams and phishing sites

I don't know why some people feel it is advisable to use their mobile phone for keeping their Cryptos, Android OS in particular is very venerable to attacks and with the coming bull run more of these wallets will keep poping up on their popular stores just to steal people's money

Use paper/pencil or other hardware air-gapped wallets. Crypto's gift of financial self determination also means you MUST be knowledgeable and practiced in basic security. The banks are not there to do it for you. Thanks for the warning on the apps.

I too sometimes think that using mobile to save crypto is abig NO, too much possibility of losing and could cause such a huge blunder. Even using raspberry is a lot safer because you will not carry it everywhere and lost it.

Thanks for your awareness and hundreds of wallet clone that used the stolen code but that fake wallet already added keylogger.
This is the big problem when the store can't maintain its store to be free from the clone apps. Playstore and appstore need a lot of improvement, especially for the security and code check. it's much better to use its official site to get the direct link to the app.

Thank you for sharing the information. Other than authentic source, we must not use any crypto wallet. Electrum is an authentic wallet which can be found at their website as well.

This is very true.

Not all cryptocurrency wallets that is on playstore or apple store is secured and should be used to store cryptocurrencies. It is best to use the trusted wallets like coinomi, trust, enjin wallets. These are secure

Better still get an hardware wallet, that is the most secure and safest wallets to use.

I use an Apple phone and I can boldly say it is nearly impossible to find a fake product on iOS store
Just as the blockchain secures several transactions, the Apple store or iOS stores safeguards every iOS users

Meanwhile, it is rather neat to stick to the most popular crypto currency wallet, to avoid stories that touch

Not used? 10 000 downloads for this scam? That is crazy.
Why Google play store do not check it? I thought they are responsible for all apps that are listed on Google play.

installing wallet for mobile phone is really risk if that wallet isn't from official coin/token, even some of them required or asking you to put your private key to access your wallet. never risk your money for that.

There are many good and legit option yet people chose not to be aware of it and go with an scam wallet. There's nothing much we can do about them.
Firstly people should realize why they needs a wallet and choose the best one for them. Mycelium is a good option for mobile and coinbase if you want a web wallet.

Ignorance a times has lead some people storing their asset on app wallet that are unpopular and safe, when it come to bitcoin the best place to store your asset is coinbase not most of the unknown apps who are looking for noobs to phish.
