This makes sense but the problem is, we need to find ways to maximize the good uses and minimize the bad uses of that invention. Yeah it doesn't sound easy but if we don't try, then the bad will outweigh the good. It's just a Trump's tweet. Don't fall for it. He must mention the down sides of bitcoin to colorize his US dollar. It's just as normal as other crypto supporters and haters' debates.

I am happy and i love the point of view of the original poster of this thread. You can buy a laptop from any company, that is no crime, but how each user uses it is what differentiate a scammer from other people. Cryptocurrency on its own is harmless but how each person use it is what matters

What you are pointing out is the society and it cant be changed not unless a miracle is happened. Technology are part of the changes we ecounter daily and every opportunity, there are two types of people who grabs it on a different way. One makes a hard effort just to take that opportunity in a legal way and one grabs that opportunity to scam people who makes effort on something new like cryptocurrency. This is true and good perception towards things and tech as a whole. Blockchain has proven its worth and value since we're seeing tech giants/big companies getting into crypto and use blockchain to improve their system as a whole. This is why I fully support legitimate blockchain projects that help reduce costs of maintaining the networks, transaction fees, and electricity usage. Which in result will help the environment in the long run. But at the same time, there will be people who will always look at crypto in a bad way because of previous experience such as them getting scammed or hearing stories of how it's being used in the black market.

I don't think i can agree less with you. Every good thing has it's merit and demerit, bank are being asked now and then, as a result of this bank hasn't been criticized the way crypto has been receiving backslash from people, it's high time people start seeing the positive side of crypto and not only the negative side.

This life is all about dialectics. There is no good thing created that doesn't come with an opposite. Water and fire are essential to humans but they can also cost human life. It doesn't mean we have to stop using fire or water. because they can kill. A degree of control will level things out.

The idea of cryptocurrency is to give financial power to the hands of everyone without interference from the government. But if this is done, it will give criminals the opportunity to commit crimes without trace. So I think there should also be a form of control for cryptocurrency that allows users to transact fluidly while checking for criminal activities

l find this statement really means this, I'm under dilemma in such situations, the crypto investors can not be blamed. It depends on people's beahviour. To me, the fact that cryptocurrency has a dark side is what make the technology even worth more investing in. Very correct on this it's very noticeable the quickness of people to point out the ugly side in cryptocurrency and when ever a crime is done they don't give a Jack about who was defrauded or who the fraudster is but are quick to go about peddling headlines that are detrimental to crypto name.

You are very right about the fact that some people always like to twist the purpose of a thing for their own selfish interest. That's why people keep shouting that there is scam here and there. But that cannot by any means stop the great and impressive accomplishments made in cryptocurrency and even in the block chain. Since we are are that some people can hack or start scam project, any suspicious activity of such should be made known to cryptonaires so people can thread cautiously with that project. The scam problem exist in all areas especially on centralized platforms but people seem to pretend as if these problems are unique to cryptocurrency alone. The problems will most likely never go away as long as humans still interact with one another.
