Tight competition would surely affect the price of old altcoins. The market for altcoins is huge but not every altcoins are scalable to that level and not every of them would succeed. The newer and technologically advanced and more competitive one would prosper while the ones that lags in development would go obsolete.

every coin has its own community though. i am a fan of ETH but i'm also an fan of EOS. its always the underlying opportunities on its platform that will make a difference, certainly ETH has the advantage for new comers.  its always the old ones that make it to the top. being them on top, they are always the ones going to be picked by traders and new investors in crypto.

I honestly think it's going to take a big mobile phone supplier to have a crypto app payment method built in to seriously get things moving. The more big companies considering security I don't think it's beyond the impossible to happen.

I think competition is getting fierce and only fittest will be able to survive among so many alts, regarding price i think if btc ranges and stay in supports and resustances for the rest of the year alts may see a surge in coming months.

The more coins, the more distribution of total market cap instead of just focusing with at least few altcoins or just to bitcoin.
Yes, the price will be affected to be real just like what's happening for now. The price are going down and it can be found to almost every altcoin that's in the present now.

We can't judge which will grow in the short term as well the coins for the long term growth. As the number of altcoins into usage keeps counting we can see more and more advancement in the development. This will make more competence between the altcoins, over the past few days the altcoin dominance have fallen much low. The same has got impacted over the altcoins price, and possibly we can expect good growth to get ignited by the end of the year.

I still believe in altcoin that has been in this market before. The newly created altcoin in the last 2 years is just a scam and I can't afford to invest in it. XRP XLM ETH are the best altcoin and there will be no new altcoin that can compete

I agree with you on that point.  One of the good things about "older" altcoins is that it's much easier to judge if they are scams or not.  If they are still around, chances are they are legit.  With the new batch of altcoins that are/will appear during this new bullrun, you just can't be certain until they have had a chance to proove themselves.

There are too many damn altcoins, literally over 5,000 now.

The fact is 99% of them are absolute trash that only pump because people see them as a cash in and out opportunity. Very few altcoins are actually uses for the purpose they were designed for.

You can tell which ones stand out based on the number of dApps that have been developed on the chain, divide this number into the number of years the blockchain has been active and you can see which is developing and growing fastest.

I expect that in 10 years, 99% of tokens will be worth of almost nothing.

Im seeing from how much product already developed and how much altcoins are being adopted caused by the product. The adoption of the new altcoin will not give any impact to the old coin and the future of altcoin will be determined by the altcoin itself. As far as i know, the competition will always be running and the ethereum and ripple will remain in the same place for the future.

The more new coins raising will make a tight competition among all the altcoins. Everything is possible to happen, if new coins is more promising and have a good quality, maybe it will take down the existing altcoins.

The world keeps changing every single minute and day which in some unique way affect the crypto ecosystem in a way. The creation of Altcoins is a total indication of these changes.  Based on my personal observations, altcoins present the future of cryptocurrency since most of them addresses significant challenges seen in the crypto ecosystem and the entire world to be specific. In as much that Bitcoin has higher recognition, most altcoins use the protocol of Bitcoin and also adding some features to this protocol to introduce specific feature into the crypto space...

big altcoins will still dominate the market, and the new altcoin appears only as a hype even though the price is high. because the new altcoin is very difficult to last a long time, both from the market cap, price, and market capitalization, so they will be in the market for a while.

For me, i think some possibilities about altcoins in the future. It's either some altcoins gonna shine in the future and some are just going to be dump. As of now, many new altcoins introduce in the market and i can see some that has a good future, hopefully we can handle some of altcoins and be part of their success.

The more the competitor they have the more they need to plan their development to surpass their current rival so that the price of their Altcoins will remain competitive to others. but if they stop developing their project with so many Altcoins that appearing now if they don't have some enthusiast investors their Altcoins may not survive and soon will become like the worthless shitcoins out there.

If you are the owner of some Altcoins there is no need to panic if a new coins will appear even if they have the same idea, you just need to update your program with some new idea and not to leave the investors hanging for a long time or they will go to the other project and might not come back to you again.

I think it will certainly affect because with the presence of new coins, of course there will be more and more smart contrac they offer to attract investors. but it might not have a big effect on ETH because this second largest altc must have prepared their strategy to face the upcoming crypto market competition.
