Hi everyone, I'm here to share with you my experience on Paxful for exchanging bitcoin where i almost got scammed.

This is what happened to me few moments ago with a scammer that wanted to scam me for 10$, so most of us know paxful and today i opened a new offer to sell 10$ of btc for exchange i get skrill balance. And this scammer opened a trade with me and after i gaved him my skrill address he pretended that he sent me the money and i should check my email address when i checked it at first it seems like a skrill message receive but when i checked the email of the sender i saw a fake address. And i knew it was a scammer.
I'm sharing my experience with you guys to be aware and careful when you trade bitcoin in any exchange service. And don't fall in this kind of scam ways because there's many ways to get scammer easily.

This the proof of what happened.

I opened an offer because i don't have the minimum amount to deal with a seller unfortunately so i have to do an offer and deal with someone i hope i will find one who won't try to scam me again. Anyway it's just 10$ but when you want to deal with big amounts i think you should be careful or exactly just few of it even if you have to pay more fees but it's safe.

did you send the scammer your coins? i see he failed to scam you
No i didn't release the bitcoin after he claimed that he did send the money and even though he send fake proof of payment and a fake email to my address too.
And as said when i saw the message from a fake skrill account i knew he was a scammer.

Op should report the scammer to paxful staff so they will flag him and he won't be able to scam other sellers.

I believe paxful should have a way of protecting people from scams.

Small or big amount people should be aware of what the other parties' intention, and suggest to trade only to those who has enough trade history and has good reputation. I don't know the trade system in paxful, but I'm assume there should be an escrow system there and should use it.

To be honest Paxful team is doing a great job warning the sellers and the buyers to be careful and the escrow system is 100% trustworthy because no matter how the scammer try to scam you if you don't get you money or bitcoin both of the seller and the buyer won't get the bitcoin released or back to the seller wallet.
But also you need to be smart and careful when you deal am sure if you don't then you will learn a lesson after loosing some money  Grin

Paxful and localbitcoin provide a guarantee between two parties that do not trust each other so you should not assume good faith in the second party because if you trust him you will not need a trusted third party.
Also, if you do not read the Terms of Service, you may lose your money.
Try to trade with the most trusted parties.

Finally, report him to Paxful and they may track his KYC.
