Altcoin is good for long-term hold, in my opinion only :

• Etherum
• Ripple
• Binance Coin
• Stellar

Only those coins which in my opinion are very strong for the long term, because the price is very stable

but disagree with stellar and ripple, especially ripple my friend because ripple is a centralized cryptocurrency

Ripple actually good coins. 1 thing that make me not really agree to make it as investment too is the centralized things that in ripple. But i am not resist, if Ripple actually can be good investment. But not for me because i think it is controlled by something behind it.

for the long term, we must determine the time first. investing for a very long time is actually not so I like. within 1 year I rarely own assets in that long time, because trading always tempts me not to hold assets for too long.
for a period of more than 1 year, it is possible for coins from the exchange of KUCOIN to be a good choice. there is a possibility that in the next year the coin will experience growth like a binance exchange coin.

Based on my observations, Bitcoin Hardfork coins (BCH, BSV, BCD, BTG) are very good for long-term Hold, so I would recommend these four Altcoins to be saved.

also you should add binance coin in your portofolio too

Ethereum is number one: many altcoins depend on it. It is not holding now as Vitalik Buterin and the company are focused on solving the problem of scaling, which should significantly increase the number of processed transactions per second and at the same time make them as cheap as possible. Ethereum 2.0, which will work on sharding and Proof-of-Stake mining will be not launched soon, so it is worth investing in alt and waiting.

I totally agree with you. ETH and LTC are the two very strong Coins in the market.
Most of the people also counting other TOP10 coins. I also want to add BNB near ETH or LTC. No one can deny that Binance Ecosystem which includes Binance Exchange leading the crypto world. Labs, academy, Binance X, launchpad etc.

As the GAS of Binance ecosystem many people support BNB, which includes me 😊
A strong back which include ETH, LTC and BNB can make investors in long term.
I do not want to add other TOP10 coins like xrp, bsv or bch in this list. EOS can be 4th alternative for diversity.

The throne and stelar are certainly good coins among altcoins, but Dash has more practical use, judging by the statistics and a good price. So I'm not an expert, but I focus on those coins for which there is a demand. In general, I would advise you to try the cryptomarket section on the taklimakan website to conduct a comparative analysis of cryptocurrencies. This clarifies a lot and you can get the whole price history, make a correlation. It is really convenient when you think about a good investment.

I think a good longterm hold could be Helios Protocol! Helios is building it's own decentralized web platform and with smart contracts based on DAG it's infinitely scalable ! That's probably all you need as far as altcoins go unless you really want to get into some of the riskier stuff, and I would not advise that if you're not a gambler.

My pick would be Neo, because if you're holding it for the long term you're at least earning some income while you hold it.  The same cannot be said for PoW coins.  I like staking coins as a general thing, but some of them have too much downside risk.  Anyhow that's the only one I'm going to recommend as I don't want to sound like a shill.

Waves can be a good choice
also ZEC, ETC, ADA are coins with established foundations for the long run
from low caps i'd choose Coti for mid-long term
