They should remove taxation from gym memberships, sportswear and protein bars. It would do more good for American women because it's common knowledge that a slim lady with no makeup will always look better than a whale with a ton of it on its face.

How about taxing junk food then? Or not taxing those diet shakes. Weight is not the only thing that defines shape. A woman doesn't have to lose weight to look better. She can always turn some fat into muscles.

Remove VAT on anything that relates to menstruation. Seriously. If anyone thinks it's a "non-essential", that person must be made to sit on a spot a woman without pads sat on. Make-up though, I'm not sure. I mean, I expect a minimum level of grooming from people. So maybe no VAT for powders and uncolored lip balms (things both sexes can use). They should remove taxation from gym memberships, sportswear and protein bars. It would do more good for American women because it's common knowledge that a slim lady with no makeup will always look better than a whale with a ton of it on its face. I agree with this but for everyone. Would definitely do anyone a favor. They should remove taxation from gym memberships, sportswear and protein bars. Diet matters more than exercise when it comes to weight. A sugar tax might help. Especially on sodas, these have large amount of sugars and usually the reason people exceed their recommended calorie intake.

You are correct but totally not correct. The stereotype of seeing the beauty of a woman in her physical looks(long hair, sexy body etc) alone is false and should be discarded. If there should be a removal of taxation on the stuffs you mentioned then there should also be removal of taxation on women education. There is no limit to what a country can achieve with extremely educated women the next generation of that country will also feel the positive impact. A smart woman on a wheel chair is beautiful, a plus size smart woman is beautiful, a smart woman with breast cancer is beautiful and the list goes on.

Mome is actually correct. Removing taxes from women's essential products is absolutely good but for those products that would only make them look good is IMO not necessary.
I also do agree that it is necessary to increase the taxation of the products that are not good for your body and can cause illnesses such as high sugar products and cigarettes.

Literally no one said anything about makeup. Women already get shitloads of subsidies, largely paid for via men's tax dollars. If you continue this trend there will be no tax dollars because men will just "check out", as is already the current trend. Most men don't need a bunch of shit to live happy lives. Women however do about 70% of the purchasing of consumer products.

Agree on the part about womens products -- it doesn't make sense that we live in a world that will somehow attempt to class tampons as 'non essential' items for a women. Though if this is going to happen, I think it would without a doubt be far to class means health products as 'essential' as well. Sugar tax - eh. When this sort of thing is implemented, people stop drinking the regular versions of sugary drinks and go ahead and use the 'no sugar' or 'zero' verisons of the drink -- which aren't much better for you but are able to skirt these types of regulations.

It really just boils down to common sense at the core of it. Taxation of an essential services varies from state to state. Some places considering clothing "essential". As far as I'm aware, no state currently bars taxes on women's feminine products.

How about removing tax on men's razor blades and jock straps then?

I don't know if that is a valid comparison, but I appreciate the sentiment. Women already do 70% of the consumer spending and are highly subsidized by government programs. Some studies even show women as a net drain on the taxation system, meaning men are paying the taxes to pay for women''s entitlements as it is, but mah tampons! It is never enough. Feminism has become a supremacist movement.

men aren't forced to shave. if we remove taxes from men's razors, women's razors should lose their taxation. jock straps -> bras? but yeah, comparing that with literally bleeding out of the vagina; total fair comparison.
