Boris Johnson also called the Trump of Britain has won the race to become the new Prime Minister, and he has already earned Trumps approval too. With Boris at the helm Brexit is all but confirmed, though I’m not sure how does he plan to achieve it by October. What do you’ll think will happen to UK economy will it react positively or negatively to Boris appointment.

Nothing to be surprised about to be honest. I think everyone knew that this was going to happen, and it did. He was the only person who is a firebrand from the conservatives and has shown he is able to keep unity (and whip votes correctly within his party)

I don't think anyone knows how he is going to do as a leader -- but we're going to have to see. We do have to remember that the people did vote to leave, and if they have to leave without a deal then they have to. That's that.

I'm going to post back on this in a week or two, when we see what his policies and advisers are.

@squatz1 I too was expecting him to win but not with such a big margin, and yes deal or no deal Brexit has to take place in October. In the past he’s made many controversial remarks so let’s hope he performs better this time, and yes do keep us posted if you have anymore insights into his leadership skills.

It seems that Trump started a trend and other countries following, like Boris Johnson in UK but also Rodrigo Duterte in Philippines, Bolsonaro in Brazil etc.
They are all populists without content and concrete philosophy, only interested in power and popularity.
They all manipulate the truth and the facts and live in their world of delusion and lies.

Regardless of what he says, I would be shocked beyond belief if the UK isn't still in the EU on Nov 1.

I'm only going to comment on the "trump trend", our President Rodrigo Duterte was already elected months before Trump won the US presidential election. He never patterned his style of leadership to the POTUS.

I think no matter who you vote to represent you, they will not do what you want, they will do what they want, they will get bribed and do what bankers want, and it is better if we have a decentralized system counting all the votes of the people, for the people pay the taxes and have to abide by the laws, so the people should have a say where the tax money goes and the laws they must abide by.

Market especially uk stocks and commodities market has not react much and that mean people were prepared for this. I am reading for the first time that he is the “Trump of uk” and at that I think he will have strong mind to take some well informed decisions that will help in achieving brexit. I will like to congratulate him and the entire uk.

The difference between Trump and Johnson is that Trump believes every single thing he says. Johnson believes in nothing but his own glorification and will say anything anyone wants to hear. He's a clueless opportunistic cunt.

A few thousand fat old white men voted for him and the direction he's taking. A couple of by-elections and a couple more MPs turning out to be rapists and he won't have a majority.

Britain has flushed itself down the toilet. It's better for England to masturbate quietly about a dead past while Ireland reunites and Scotland goes independent.

Boris is a clown and he has no plan. Everybody should remember that had he been smart, he could have been made prime minister instead of Theresa May, some 3 years ago.

If you want to know what Britain will look like in 6 months, look at his hair. It will be just like that.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

Brexit is Brexit, and it is what we voted for. The scenario was explained in great detail when we had the initial referendum. So called "leaving" the EU with any associared conditions is not Brexit. The plan that we voted for was a clean break, followed by a two year period when various trade agreements and political associations were nbegotiated and arranged. Well the Eton/Oxford elite that controls the UK and the EU managed to fudge and stall everything whilst they continued to diminish the UK. Boris has managed to clear out many of the obvious treasonous politicians that were in government, but the real power and influence lies in the Civil Service, and I'm not sure how he can cope with that.

We have a massive trade deficit with the EU. If Johnson is a real leader, he will stop going to Brussels to arrange "deals", and request that they send representatives ro Westminster to conduct negotiations.

you mean what 51% of people have voted for, you would risk your country in a civil war against the other 49% that run the exporting economy?

@Baronets Brexit was never explained to people, and by the time they realised what they had done it was bit too late. There were calls to take a second referendum because now UK people did not wish to leave EU, but their leaders decided against conducting a second referendum. Johnson will have to bend the kneee and go to Brussels if he wishes to get a deal done otherwise he’ll end up loosing Scotland, not really sure why you expect EU to come to Westminster for further negotiations.

Controversial remarks don't point to someones leadership skill or lack thereof. Just want to point that out.

These calls are literally by the opposition party, it's not something that shows that more then half of people are supporting a referendum (or a new one in this case)

Also - It's vital to mention that any poll that does state this is as flawed as the polls that said that the UK was planning on staying (which the people obviously didn't vote for)

Polls these days have pretty massive flaws.

Can you give us examples of this? I seem to recall a big red bus and a bunch of lies.

The Government spent several million pounds of the taxpayers' money explaining that "Brexit means Brexit". Leaving aside the fact that the government shouldn't have spent this, the pamplet explained in detail exactly what Brexit meant. Of course it was intended to frighten people into staying under the rule of the new British Empire ( the EU is part of this ), but to everyone's surprise, people realised how much we had lost since the globalistrs started their major push in the 1970s, and we voted to reverse it. The EU is bankrupt, and it is bankrupting all its member states. Getting out will give us the chance to reverse some of the damage. This is assuming that Boris Johnson really is attempting to "drain the swamp"

Cecil Rhodes was obsessed with regaining control of the US, and bringing it back into the British Empire. Maybe this is the new ambition of the Eton/Oxford elite, now that the EU experiment has failed.

OK, sorry, you're right here than President Rodrigo Duterte was already elected months before Trump won the US presidential election.
Still, I feel that his public performances and public speeches, and the content of these speeches, are too similar to the public performances and public speeches of the President Trump.
It's my opinion, any way.
