There seems to be a slight advantage for West Indies right now. Sri Lanka has lost 3 of the most important batsmen and they are still trailing by more than 200 runs. The partnership between Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva has added 59 runs. If they could do what Kraigg Brathwaite and Rahkeem Cornwall did during the first innings of West Indies, then Sri Lanka has a chance to stay competitive in this match. Else it is going to go West Indies' way.

Its looking like this match will end in a draw now which is a little disappointing. I still give the WI a chance if they can get these last 2 wickets quickly and then get at least 250+ runs lead which will make it hard for SL to win and maybe even survive on the last day trying to draw the match. The draw looks very likely outcome right now though.

Almost all of them got the start but they failed to capitalize, SL team was lucky that rain interrupted the game otherwise Windies bowlers could have been get through their tailenders as well. Only minor positive for SL is Pathum Nissanka still at crease and batting nicely, now his task is to bat with the num 10-11 batsmen and get close to Windies target as much as possible, may be add 40-50 runs.

Considering the domestic cricket environment of these two countries, the West Indies team will definitely be far ahead of Sri Lanka. But a few years ago Sri Lanka was a very strong team. While players like Jayawardhane, Sangakkara, Dilshan and Malinga were in the squad. They had the ability to challenge any strong team. It seems that the lack of domestic league is not creating any talent in the youth. That is why the Sri Lankan team is in so much trouble today.

If Sri Lanka can bowl well and bat for a much longer time then they can draw this match too. Yeah pretty disappointing performance from the Srilankan's point of view, today they only added 7 runs before getting all out and now their fielders are also letting them down by dropping catch. Windies is in good position despite losing 2 wickets and lead is already 165 runs. Approx 69 overs left in today's game, it would be good if Windies get some quick runs on the board so that they can give their bowlers 90+ overs to get opposition out in the 4th inning.

Sri Lanka deserved a consolation victory.

West Indies are now leading by 323 runs. I think it is enough target to beat Srilanka. They should declare the innings and give the Sri Lankan team a chance to bat. There are still about 27 overs left today. If they are not able to take at least 2 wickets today, then this match is going to be a draw.

If they got some 15-20 overs, then in all probability they could have at least taken a couple of wickets and the game would have been in their control. In particular, Kraigg Brathwaite was very slow in scoring the runs. They had enough wickets in hand, so it makes no sense to bat in such a slow manner.

@vella85 WI did play well but sadly it looks like we’re going to see this match end up in a draw as it’s raining out there. Furthermore even if rains stop then too I doubt that WI will be able to take all the 10 wickets, hence for me this match will end in a draw.

This match will surely end in a draw, Srilanka will try to drag this match without losing a single wicket. West Indies bowlers need to take a wicket which I think they are struggling to do. The first test was a draw and now the second might be too. Not interested anymore now in this test.

Yeah.. looks as if it will end up in a draw. Only around 60 overs remaining now, and Sri Lanka is having all 10 wickets intact. Both Dimuth Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne are batting really well and the West Indian bowlers are not able to achieve the breakthrough. However, if 2-3 wickets fell in quick time, then the situation can change drastically. Rahkeem Cornwall is getting some turn and the West Indies captain needs to bring back his strike bowlers (Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel & Jason Holder)
