This man's consistency in the test format recently is mighty impressive. Sad to see Willy get out for a duck though. Imagine what would have happened if Archer was a part of the lineup with the red hot form he is in these days. Dumb English management!

Test matches should at least reach day 5 and for that, there needs to be a balance between both bat and ball. I didn't see the game just browsed the scorecard so I am not sure if it is shitty batting from both teams or unplayable pitch conditions.

The pitch looks so hard so far and at this stage of the game, only way that  New Zealand have to play safely and not rush for runs, they will automatically come if they will go with 3 to 4 runs in even 10 overs so it does not matter, since the pitch is difficult to bat on and it would be difficult for the other batsmen to continue.

There might be another collapse. Glenn Phillips is set on the pitch right now and he is playing a totally good game. He has played up to 34 balls so far, whereas the second player, Nathan Smith has just come. He has only played 10 balls. I think first he needs to check the pitch under every condition.

ICC can't do anything regarding pitches and conditions of their ground because it's none of their business. This needed to be done by relative boards for having things improved. I am sure this match is going to end tomorrow this could be a huge loss for ECB. New Zealand's top order faltered badly, but their tailenders did a good job and added 88 runs.
This brought them on level now England is going to start their second inning with a 27-run lead. They needed to have better batting to have a good chance of winning. New Zealand is batting terribly against quality bowling. Ollie Robinson has 5 wickets.
After watching this game, I want the test matches needed to be reduced by 4 days. This could be good for all.
