Okay we have an ODI match today. Strange that no one was talking about it. I did not know about it as well :-P

I woke up and logged in crickinfo and found out the match between Bangaldesh vs Sri Lanka. This match will be remember in the history because this is Malinga's last international ODI. The entire Sri Lankan team looks pumped to give a memorable match to their legend.

By the way, my bet is for Bangladesh though.

By the way, my bet is for Bangladesh though.

It's not really strange. Cricket fans are not very tech savvy, they go to a field and lay down eating chips. It's not a gentleman's game it's a lazy spectator's sport. A lot has changed with the new formats limitations and the T20 mode, but its still a grill. And the only reason anyone talks about Cricket on Bitcointalk is because of signature campaigns. Not because of the game itself.

PS: Bangladesh's got nothing against a world cup winning team like SriLanka.

I think he is no more following cricket. However, today, SL is looking more energetic than the world cup team.

I didn’t even know these two had a series going on as there was no advertisement relating to their match, anyway moving on Srilanka has scored 300+ runs but I feel it’ll not be enough to defeat Bangladesh. As we all saw in the World Cup Bangladesh have scored 300+ runs, hence I feel they’ll easily chase down this target. Malinga will be missed by all cricket fans as he has continuously entertained us with his bowling, who else feels that Srilanka team will find it hard to replace him.

I was looking 350+ but whatsever after 50 overs SL made 314 on the scoreboard. Shakib Al Hasan their key players and TOP performers in the CWC19. It's urgent and Bangladesh must take immediate action on their bowling and fielding unit.

So rest of the batsmen are very unexperienced and they have not any experience of finishing any match with a win. So now the match is depending on Musfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman. If both will out quickly in under 30 overs then Bangladesh can not win the game even can not reach 270 runs in total.

Unfortunately Bangladesh lost to Srilanka yesterday but i thought current Bangladesh team was much better than Srilanka team. Eliminating Malinga and adding Shakib might have changed the result.

If someone performs bad in a position, he must be placed in other position but it's his passion/fashion that he will not play other than opening position. Board can't do anything because his uncle Akram Khan is the chief selector of BCB.

Drastic changes isn't possible, we don't have much good players at the moment other the current team. Bowling options can be changed though. Missed Shakib.

Observed that his batting average is pretty poor for an opener which is why I believe that they need to find a better replacement asap in order to improve their opening order. Middle order seems set currently.

One thing is sure that Bangladesh is now much improved and good side but they need match winner like Shakib they are missing this otherwise surely they can beat Sri Lanka easily but in yesterday match we miss this which cost them match. Now every team need all-rounders like Shakib Pandya and Imad if they want to win matches.

I understand your observation simply because your thought process is that SriLanka being a world cup winning team in 1996, Bangladesh have no chance to win against them . Have you seen any performance of Bangladesh and SriLanka recently and came to this conclusion, Yes Srilanka won the first match quite convincingly but Bangladesh was missing Shakib Al Hasan in the team and he is an integral part in the team.

If I am not wrong then Sarkar is not even a strike bowler but he is taking crucial wickets in matches. The entire Bangladesh team really needs to find some good bowlers.

Talking about Tamim, that reference from Pffrt does not look good. Tamim is a good player as far as I know but that does not mean he become the burden of the team. In the world cup and in the last match he seems a burden for his team.

By the way, the Legend (Malinga) finished his ODI career with a wicket in the last ball. This is a very sweet ending. He deserved it.
