USA doesn't seem to play with prudence.

Well you can't blame them for having a bad game. Everybody can have a bad game like that. Just like in the Philippines, our import, Andray Blatche is not playing decently but for him it was a two game streak of not playing that great.

We are still on the stages round when misktaes can  be forgiven.
But cosindering a fact that more tough games are about to come, USA will not have the same luck. If this bad game had happened against Serbia or Spain then USA would have lost.

I think mistakes shouldn't have a room in the world cup. Because with bad moves you're out. It's like competing with your hearts out or lose the title. Well, they beat the Spain team during their scrim I just don't know about the number one team in the world, the mighty Serbia.

Man Turkey almost won the game. Bad sides from this world cup are coming to light. We see that NBA teams are dont wont to send there players to WC with reason. And to tell something else maybe this is the worst WC in basketball so far.

If I dont count one or two games, like today's Brazil Greece with this USA Turkey game, rest are boring some teams won with over 40 point.

What a close game! US won leading a single point from the overtime. Turkey fought hard and it's really amazing that they almost won this, but luckily US snatched it. Watching  this game will give other competitive teams to be inspired and play their very best.

Team US needs to add more with their defensive strategy, facing bigger players with shooting abilities will be a big concern to work out.

So far this is the most intense game in this world cup. All I can see these past few days is always a blown out game especially for the team I rooted most. I think US will have a hard time this world cup don't you think? I mean, don't get me wrong they are all great players that are playing in the NBA but it would be still a different story if NBA superstars will play the world cup. But, that shouldn't be the case, we should support those who are willing to play. Now it's time for me to bandwagon this since PH has been out of the game lol. Let's go USA!

Americans always play differently in the regular part, where there is a possibility of error correction, and in the knockout phase where mistakes are not forgiven.
Even in the NBA league, many clubs that are bad in the regular season start playing great in the playoffs.
Their team has a lot of new players playing together for the first time, and they need time to play better and get to know each other better.
Despite today's poor match, they are still the first gold favorites.

Who is watching USA vs Turkey right now?

The game is intense and close. Turkey is doing it surprisingly and they aren't really far from the scores with USA. I haven't followed the track of Turkey but these guys are good, I'm impressed.

Unreal scenes from the United States vs Turkey match. No one expected it to be so close. The match went in to overtime, and somehow US won the match by a whisker. But I would say one thing after watching the match... I would no longer rate US as the favorites to win the tournament. IMO, this world cup would be won by Serbia.

Well this is just to tell the world that basketball is really getting a serious Sports in every countries and USA dominance is starting to lessen as the Players around the globe is exceeding from the past performances

And ofcourse credited the failure of US to get the title once from the Greece and may happen again if not now for sure in the following years..

This was best day in World Cup so far.
Turkey had awesome chance to win against USA, but they lost in quite stupid way. First they earned stupid foul at the end of 4th quarter and it probably cost them victory. Then in the end of overtime Turkey missed two decisive free throws.. Again, we saw that USA is not unbeatable. And I can't wait till USA will face more powerful opponents than Turkey.
Greece surprisingly lost to Brazil. As I said in earlier posts, Brazil is decent team, but this result is big surprise for me. Well, it means that will have to beat New Zealand in last game.
Germany lost to Dominican Republic and it means that they are already eliminated. Big sensation.
And my team Lithuania had very solid match against Canada. Canada had some good moments, but we controlled match from start till the end.
Tomorrow we will see some ''winner takes all' matches - China - Venezuela and Puerto Rico - Tunisia. And games for 1st place in group - Argentina - Nigeria and Italy - Serbia.

That was indeed a bad foul but Tatum missed/choked on one of those three free throws otherwise USAB should have won in regulation.

Then in the end of overtime Turkey missed two decisive free throws.

It was actually 4 straight missed free throws, not 2, while being up 92-91.  
Not sure if yall noticed but Tatum rolled his ankle pretty bad on that last possession. He might be out of the tournament and with this current questionable roster they have losing your 2nd/3rd best player might be too much.

Fun fact: USA started with 1.35 odds to win the world cup. After their loss to Australia, it went up to 1.45. Yesterday it was 1.60 and now 1.80.

It only shows that anything can happen in this FIBA world cup competition. Lucky break for team USA is the missed free throw from turkey that cost them the game. I am betting for USA to win the championship but it would be a hard game since there are still powerhouse teams like Serbia that have 5 NBA players in their roster.

Let's accept that, he is entitled with his own opinion, it's sad but it's true.

Hopefully Philippines can take that as a constructive criticism and they will continue to work hard to prove they can compete in bigger stage like the FIBA world cup. In Fiba Asia, Philippines is one of the best country to watch for, but the competition in the FIBA world is bigger and higher, its just that our current line up is not good enough to compete against one of the top ranking teams in the tournament.

United States doesn't seem to be able to win the tournament as easy as I expected before the tournament.
They might fail to advance to quarterfinals. In the second round they will have tough games against Brazil and Greece/New Zealand (90% Greece)
If they win the group I think they will also advance to semi-Final easily. But if they qualify as the runners-up They will likely face France and I expect they lose that match ( Based on performance of United States in the first two matches)
Turkey really surprised me and now I like this team very much. I hope they advance to second round and quarter-finals too. They can make the tournament more exciting.
Both Brazil and Greece have had a great performance in Group F. Their game was really close and exciting. Greece will also advance to next round after beating New Zealand.
Germany was really unlucky. They lost both matches very closely. They could have be one of advancing teams if they were a bit lucky.
Australia and Lithuania advanced to second round easily. Lithuania will win Australia and I think they will advance to quarter-finals too. Australia will fail to advance to quater-finals.

Who else doesn't think of that? Composed of young stars with only a few years playing in the NBA and now playing at the World Cup.

USA does really gave these advantages to other teams but in the end, they will be the winner, sure of that. Greece is more on hype just because the current NBA MVP is there but not enough to overthrow USA. Other unbeaten countries in other groups just do some warm-ups.

The real battle will happen on the next round.

Yesterday's match is going to change the odds and the equations. Turkey almost won the game, and US should be very concerned now. First the Australians beat them, and then Turkey forced the overtime. And the most comic thing is that Turkey isn't even considered as a team that is capable of winning the FIBA world cup, unlike teams such as Serbia and Greece.

Here are my predictions for today's matches:

I already put my bet on Turkey before the 2nd half because I see that Turkey can match against USA but they fell a bit short in the last minutes of the game. Could be a huge winning for me if Turkey win since the odds are very high but I'm happy I bet on a spread with Turkey +18.5 .

I might consider PH moneyline as well although I don't really trust them. The only factor is that I haven't watched Angola played. I cannot say they are better or worse than PH. I only heard they are as poor in their games as the Philippine Team.
