There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Stellar Gold is already the subject of a dedicated Scam accusation thread

Wapinter doesn't care about it at all and continues to promote scam projects, despite many warnings (he deleted this StellarGold Bounty thread but....open this one some days later! )

Edit (04/30/2019): timeline error, (does not change the basis)

Just a small timeline correction:

I remember working on that case and if my memory serves me well, the first link is their ANN thread (created Feb 17th)  and the second one - bounty (created Feb 24th).

The scam accusations topic was created on March 5th, ANN was deleted and Bounty locked on the next day March 6th.

PS; I'm not trying to defend Wapinter, most of you know where I stand when it comes to managers promoting projects they haven't even checked.

Too bad that we have a lot of scam projects around and the bounty managers dont do a due diligence before start the campaigns. After all, the bounty hunters are the people who lose their time and put a lot of effort for get nothing.

Well, isn't same questions appropriate for you? Your small diligence would save thousands users. Hunter diligence would save only single person. Am I wrong ? I am not blaming for each scam those happend by your promotion, but some of them was extremely scammy like fake team. So that wasn't very hard task for you since you was a well reputed manager. So we cam say no one is responsible for lose of your reputation.

Right, edited (don't change the basis)

it's nice to lock the bounty thread but it leaves a great visibility to the project (in terms of referencing in particular).

When a scam is revealed, the only responsible reaction of a conscientious BM is to delete as much information as possible and post a warning message at the beginning and end of the thread

This is exactly why the OP Oceanbeware thinks it is useful to open a thread (when the project should have been dead and invisible for weeks)

Wapinter is not a newbie and I think he is fully aware of the situation.

I think as a manager you can't erase this blame fully where its a matter of your own reputation too. Every manager should think about investor safety first before taking a project. I believe well reputated managers have the quality to investigate a project and after deep investigation they can easily detect that projects future value. Just taking a project only for having payments and after revealing scam accusation against that just locking ANN thread can't be a proper solution man. It was very much needed to be careful before making the ANN. You have to bear it on mind that already so many investor have been connected with that existing project.

IMO its a complete carelessness about investors safety where as a manager its your first responsibility to make sure existing project investors safety first.

You are right. Sistemkoin is just faking the numbers and list the projects there. Many projects have lose money by doing IEO with SISTEMKOIN.

Anyone who does IEO with SISTEMKOIN is a fool and if they still want to raise money try with other exchanges.
