I bought a $50 Amazon GC for $10 from his selly. After I paid, he blocked me on telegram and on his channel. I thought it was $10 which I dont care for so gave it a try.

This scammer is so freaking cheap and dirty.....

There are lots of scam accusations against this idiot. Only found it after he scammed me. Moderators, I really suggest you ban him for good.

This is a scam accusation from another person: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5133910.0
You can see the similarities.

Sorry to hear you got scammed but, seriously, how could you miss the BIG WARNING MESSAGE in the bright yellow box that appears above his thread when you open it plus the dozen or 2 negative feedbacks posted under his trust.    As my grandmother used to say "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him read the warnings."  Unfortunately scammers do not get banned on this forum.

Yeah I know people scammed other for $2 worth crypto :-)

Anyway, sorry for your lose OP. You are just too noob I would say. Added anther tag so that this time you can see it. Also consider creating a red flag. Flag type 2 or 3. This will increase the visibility of the alert for this scammer.

Don't trust or believe autobuy link, it will be direct you to payment.
When seller put his fake product [wrong username and pasword], selly automatic sending that without authentic it before.
so it will be good for you using escrow, it will be trusted

This is where you should have used your own intuition and common sense, no person in their right mind (Who isn't scamming) would sell an AGC for literally 20% value. There are numerous giftcards that can't be cashed back in to physical items or funds so they tend to go for much lower value (Shake Shack, Starbucks) but nobody would sell AGC for such a low rate. The realistically lowest rate you could possibly get for an AGC that isn't carded or phished is ~50-60%, and that is if you are lucky. Better to exchange with a reputable seller on the paxful platform, along with not using autobuy.

The big warning message is not actually that big at least not for me when I logged out and I always said that the small orange numbers that people who are logged in see are even less noticeable. I somehow doubt the OP doesn't have an older account here and he just used this one as a throwaway one.

Not saying that this isn't 101% his fault but seriously we should bring back the scammer tag or do something more drastic than putting a two-line of text warning, don't understand why theymos is so much against it.

Well, it (the message) does stand out somewhat but I do agree 1000% with you regarding the old scammer tag.  I don't like this new system at all but unfortunately it's all we got.  Also, WRT the OP considering how well he has the "scam report" down as a brand newbie I agree with that as well.  But regardless, he is right.
