I get great joy from exposing these types of behaviors. This is a problem with having a single moderator with extremist views as a moderator of a political sub. This situation is nearly guaranteed to result in moderation that very heavily one viewpoint. Rules will either be very one sided, or will go unenforced for one viewpoint when they are strictly enforced for another.

Many polls are run by one left leaning pollster and one right leaning pollster to prevent the result from being skewed to benefit one side.

The obvious solution is to either find a moderator with more moderate views, or to find a second moderator with right leaning viewpoints who can help shift the moderation towards the middle/balanced.

I doubt that some of you can even separate the two issues. I don't care who is a Communist, as long as the Communist is treated the same as I am according to forum rules and policy. I think it's possible that he either A) Doesn't realize how aggressive (often passive aggressive) his posts are perceived by most or, more likely, B) Perceives any post that challenge something he said as a direct attack on his intelligence and/or honor.  He seems to consider his own opinions facts. Therefore other peoples opinions must be 'wrong', and he must prove them wrong, otherwise it will appear that he is wrong.

Or he might be just a troll I guess.  But I think B or A is much more likely.

Talking about not being able to separate personal feelings from general forum conduct: at least I don't get my panties in a bunch every time a moderator deletes one of my posts, or doesn't delete one of my adversary's posts.

How exactly does that make logical sense? If I cared that people disagreed with me I would act like you and tell the default trust list to line up so I can wash their balls for them. I am saying what I say at the expense of people like you following me around everywhere else on the forum because you can't handle that I "was a dick to you" in Politics and Society. Your disagreement isn't the problem, its your inability to isolate it from the rest of the forum's functions. Speaking of forum policy and enforcement, seems to me mods deleting posts falls firmly under that description.
