[ANNOUNCEMENT] Brand New ICG Labels for all crypto coins going forward.

Hello everyone... it's MAJOR announcement time!!  Some of you know and some of you don't know, but I have working as a consultant for ICG for the past couple of months.  When Charlie was getting his coins graded we had a bit of a brainstorm while looking at the Casascius silvers he had.  A custom label for crypto coins only.  The only coin we felt that could be on every label was what we considered the quintessential coin...... the Casascius 10BTC Gilt.  I reached out to Mike Caldwell to see if we could get the rights to use the image on our labels.  After a nudge from Charlie and a few emails back and forth, he agreed to allow us to use the image!!!  

   That's right.... Mike Caldwell (Casascius) APPROVED!

Interesting initiative. I don't dislike them but also don't love them. The appeal of a slabbed coin to me is the actual coin itself.. these sort of give off a coin with 1/3 of a coin for a hat vibe to me.

Also having 999 fine silver in the label but the slabbed coin being brass/gold/other is a bit of a throw off.

If ICG still offers the old plain blues then I see no problem here.. everyone has their own personal preferences with designs of course.

Yeah, would have maybe liked to see a more generic label, like just the BTC logo with some 0's and 1's.  To each his own I suppose. 

Applaud the effort though for sure and love that ICG is so receptive to the physical crypto community.  Keep up the good work!

No, but if you prefer the old blue labels, they will be available.  


The .999 fine silver is only on there because it's what is on the top of the Casascius 10 BTC Silver coin.

We did a computer mock up of it with the new label  from his high resolution photo before the prototype was made.  I will hunt it down and if Charlie is ok with it it, I’ll post it.

I think they look too busy. Prolly fine for Bitcoins...but NOT any of the altcoins. Unless they do the same thing for ALL the Alt coins for uniformity. They really don't go with the Litecoins. A Collector should be choosey on which coins to have that display.    I just had over 200 coins done, I'm glad that I missed this "upgrade".

This is not the place for this.... but I can attest to the fact that there was an order for 200 plus coins very recently.
