According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Greetings from Lausanne!

Guess the Swiss are using the French/German/Italian boards depending on which part of the country they are from.

I'm giving brawker.com a try: it's similar to purse.io, but you can create orders with any online merchant, including in Switzerland.

So, basically, if you signup and go to https://brawker.com/orders/Wcc9da354c0f , you get to order a Raspberry Pi 2 for CHF49 at digitec.ch, have it sent to my address and in return you'd receive 0.21096027 BTC.

Let me know if you're interested, or any feedback welcome.

Update: it worked out OK, a nice guy from Austria took the order. Just make sure to be transparent about fees (Digitec charges 2. 4% for using PayPal) and make sure you choose an item that's currently in stock so it does not take too long to finalize the transaction. I also had an issue with the fact that you cannot upload a pdf document (eg an invoice) by sending it as an email attachment; you can work around it by copying it as an image and insert it inside the message. I also recommend a to use a merchant with an English interface, for that Digitec is perfect.

MtGox was trading CHF now they're gone, BitStamp was trading CHF, they stopped, ANXBTC was trading CHF and they also recently stopped (reasons explained here), the couple of serious traders on LocalBitcoin offer really shitty rates...

Right now, it feels hopeless to cash in on your hard-earnt bitcoins without getting screwed with high fees, bad exchange rates, or costly EUR/CHF exchanges  if you live in a CHF economy.

Guten Abend meine lieben Schweizer Smiley

Tietoss
