Back then I created a thread to let everyone to share their amazing stories, and now it became so dramatic that we almost laugh at it.

So let's start a new one, instead of speaking again and again about strategies and its effects, instead of talking every bad things that may happen when playing to much, and also instead of talking about how will someone gonna spend their winnings and also about their feelings...

So here's the thing, what does come into your mind when you win? For the first time? For the second time? Or even for when you win always?


Of course some might say that "isn't it obvious? To bet again and to win again" but this ain't the real thing, various reasons may come up for every individual. So let us put this into discussion.

The attitude of winning more after you start winning and have respectable amount of chips in hand has given me at times more wins but i have suffered high losses too expecting to win more. Recently, i have tried to minimize my losses by playing safe and not in haste. I try to get wins over what i have invested and get positive ROI

My perspective is when you win enough come back tomorrow, I gamble in my free time especially because I have low on cash and i can do small betting and it's a fun thing to do, when I win a huge amount by risking and increasing the chances to about 14% and i win after multiple losses it's like a sense of euphoria and I can't explain how happy am, and bet again and again and again until my profits turned to losses and i regret it so I change my perspective and if I win enough I will stop myself from betting again.

If I win I just continue the betting game as long as I can get my goal or exact amount I really need, but there is also a limit that I can lose and if I ever meet my limit of losses I will stop on gambling or playing. The things that really comes to my mind when I am winning is the limit of my needs or the exact amount that I really want to get in this game.

Changing paces once you learned from those previous mistakes is good enough to enjoy your gambling. You need to learn how to appreciate small earnings and not to become too greedy to keep aiming high. It depends on the amount won. If it exceeds my initial balance two times and more, I stop right away. I may come back later, even the same day, but when I win big, the first thing that comes to mind is to quit for the moment. It's perfectly okay, when you play games against the house, but I suspect that it can annoy other players at the table when you play poker cash games, and I'm really sorry about that, but that's how it is, I completely lose interest for the game after a big win.

Even though you are controlling yourself in terms of betting, there's always an instances that your greed will take over yourself, because it is fun to win big rather than win small, That is the most basic thing that will come to the gambler's mind. In my experience, I always like to win big! but after several bad beat I am now controlling myself, so when I am winning I will try to stop in the middle of the game. But still I enjoy playing even though I lose sometimes.

That is common behavior of new gamblers. Actually it has to do with human nature. We all want to make money and honestly, majority does not want to work 24/7 for that. I also believe you losses were not too big. Moreover, if you have learnt a good lesson out of your first experience, then that was a blessing because many people build this belief that gambling can give them money to meet daily needs.

Yes, just recently I read on this forum how a guy won $200, but didn't stop and lost around $2,000 in the end.

So, I think that the first thing that should come to mind right after someone wins big is to quit for the day. If you was lucky enough to win a good amount grateful and celebrating instead of pushing your luck further.

This is indeed natural. however much we win will not give satisfaction. because we have greediness and we can be sure we can't enjoy gambling. for my example Usually when I get a victory is to use that money in accordance with my original purpose of gambling. usually I will buy new items for use or other needs. not so greedy in playing makes me not want too much big things in gambling games

Indeed, begin to understand that no matter how good and cool a strategy you have will not be able to make you win in gambling all the time. But yes when they win it rather than keep it aside or move out of that amounts means something to them they tend to play more in order to win more and mostly end up losing that money too .

I totally agree with your words, because that happened to me, when I experience victory the thing I do doubles my bet as if not satisfied with the results received after that what happened was only defeat and regret

Well the problem with most of the gamblers are that they become greedy on both winning and losing.  Any win will not satisfy them as they keep on playing more for more profits. On the other hand, with every loss, they try to cover by playing more and losing again, making the loss even more bigger.

That kind of behaviour will really quickly lead a person to the path of addiction, we know that when we are gambling we are at a disadvantage and the casinos are almost sure to win on the long run, any gambler that is not satisfied with whatever profits he is getting and keeps betting will keep losing as well, at some point we need to accept our losses and the fact that we cannot be profitable when playing against the casino, but if you cannot do that it is better not to gamble because then becoming addicted is almost a sure thing.

You made a good point there. Indeed most gamblers play with moderate amounts (and rightly so), and thus even with a very big multiplier, such as 9900x, one can't win a lot. Hunting 9900x with 1k+ sats bets is a suicide, so we normally hunt it betting with less than 100 sats, and our wins, in case of luck, are respective.

Regarding what comes to mind after winning, I can tell from my own experience. Once I won around 700k sats by hitting 99.99 while hunting for it with 70 sats bets. I tipped several users in the chat with around 200k sats in total, and left for the day. After winning a significant amount I have no desire to play more.

"Oh look, I ain't that unlucky after all".  Considering how rarely I ever got to say that, I probably am not very lucky. 

Thankfully I haven't gone to the point where I keep on playing and end up saying "I should have just stopped".

Well not just greed. We crave the satisfaction of the win. It feels like an achievement.
