It can be anything 100, 1000, or 10000 its not a big deal. That is how it is on original bitcoin wallet.  Cheesy

What about the slow confirmations?

If they are getting confirmed, then its good. If not, then you were mining on your own chain. So originally, you never mined any $LITB on official chain.  Undecided

I believe LightBit is a SCAM coin in high odds, here is why

1. Identical Source code with CPUchain

LightBit has an identical source code with CPUchain https://cpuchain.org https://github.com/cpuchain/cpuchain without any modification and they clam to be a non premine coin without any evidence,

The genesis block has been mined 1 day ago before they've announced their coin on bitcointalk ( CPUchain have announced on bitcointalk 4 days before they mined an genesis block )

2. Poor homepage roadmap

Lightbit doesn't have any identical roapmap or features compared with CPUchain

3. No Whitepaper

Lightbit doesn't have any whitepaper although it is a clone of CPUchain

4. Developer's identity are hidden

No public identity for developers, likely to be a scam.

5. Copy of CPUchain's work

According to the community manager ( AL!CE ), they are planning to clone the mobile wallet, mobile mining application of CPUchain's.

Don't be scammed by anonymous developers

We are very busy to even respond to this, but since this is our thread, we are obliged to respond.

Answer - Your source code is identical to Bitcoin. Does that make you a scammer? And about the genesis block, we announced the project on BTT 24 hrs ago before the final launch. Old ANN can be find here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5174240.0;all (PROOF) Also, when we launched, there were 30+ people active on our discord and they all saw the genesis block on the explorer. Which you can still see btw.

2. Poor homepage roadmap

Lightbit doesn't have any identical roapmap or features compared with CPUchain

Answer - We never compared LightBit with any other coin. But FYI, WP will be launched in Q4. Thanks! Smiley

3. No Whitepaper

Lightbit doesn't have any whitepaper although it is a clone of CPUchain

Answer - Same as answer 2.

4. Developer's identity are hidden

No public identity for developers, likely to be a scam.

Answer - If team wants to stay anon, that does not make them scammers. Looks like Satoshi Nakamoto is a scammer to you? And if you are not familiar with the term "0 premine" - It means the team holds only the amount of coins which they mined after the announcement, same as the community. 5. Copy of CPUchain's work

According to the community manager ( AL!CE ), they are planning to clone the mobile wallet, mobile mining application of CPUchain's.

Don't be scammed by anonymous developers

Answer - I am AL1CE from discord. I never said such things to the owner of Cpuchain, which makes it a false claim. Thanks!

At last, it is up to the community to decide if its a scam or a great project. All we can do is work on it. So please focus on your own project, and let us focus on ours. Thanks! Cheesy

Another false claim from you. This is the ANN of the exchange - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5174091

which was announced on 9th Aug by SpesCoin project, which clearly means that you haven't even researched anything and are just blaming us for no reason. Please focus on your project instead. Thanks!

Hey,
I've told you already on discord to remove all bad words to Crypto Hub Exchange.
Crypto Hub Exchange https://cryptohubexchange.com is powered and maintained by SpesCoin Project.
Please join SpesCoin discord here  https://discord.gg/TxJtH5F and feel free to check it.

We are very busy to even respond to this, but since this is our thread, we are obliged to respond.

I personally mine and hodl just 130 LITB so far. Smiley

5. Copy of CPUchain's work

According to the community manager ( AL!CE ), they are planning to clone the mobile wallet, mobile mining application of CPUchain's.

1. You have plagiarised our entire roadmap & website
Answer - Don't know about yours, but our website is completely different. Check here - https://lightbit.xyz/ [PROOF]

You should at least change the diff algo or block time, block size ( even the modified block size match with our coin ) to make it unique
Answer - Cpuchain algo is CPUpower, LightBit algo is YESpower_LITB [Custom algo]. Also, our block time is 60 secs and its 10 LITB per block with 21M supply [WHICH MAKES US COMPLETELY DIFFERENT]  Tongue

2. About your identity

My identity is fully public and I am Min Khang Aung from CPUchain, I've tried to contact the real developer and you've refused, that makes your project scam!

Answer - Our devs are busy developing, unlike you, they don't accuse projects. They have faith in every project and developer out there. Thanks!

This is a fucking joke?  Grin
1:1 Scaled CTRL+A -> CTRL+C of CPUchain.

You don't respect the work of Mink, that's ungrateful.
Mink has spend thousands of dollars on CPUchain, and now you wanna clone his cryptocurrency and told us, this is yours.  Huh
For ex. i respect the work of Mink, and even support him. Smiley

It's just a project with some shitty CTRL+C devs, same as their project.

Hey Ray welcome to bitcointalk!!!
Thank you for your nice digging!!!
First of all SpesCoin is older than your project and also than Lightbit.
You're right the main SpesCoin website https://myspes.org is hosted with 1&1 and the exchange is hosted with digital ocean, is there anything wrong on doing that? You did not checked the pool website to see where it is listed, the pool you find it here: http://pool.myspes.org and it's listed somewhere else than the main website, same happens with the explorer it's hosted somewhere else, again is that something wrong to host the resources with different providers?
At least there is a SSL certificate and provides you a secure connection, btw this is not the only exchange using a free ssl, why should I pay for something when I have it for free and dose the same thing.
Please check SpesCoin Twitter and you'll see that the exchange it's managed by us and we are not affiliate with Lightbit in any way just happened to see their new project and I just listed, also I can delist them as I listed.
Ray we are in public space, I do understand your frustration but please have a nice language at least and let's respect each other's.
Also let's move one and everyone to take care of his projects, you'll be more productive in your project if you don't spend your time digging or screaming about a project or other.
Hope you get my point and you become a nicer person as everyone should be!!!
Have a good one!!!

As I see, SpesCoin already gave you the right answer. We are not affiliated with their exchange. They saw potential in our project and they listed us. And we are happy about it btw, we appreciate everyones support.

And for you CTRL+A -> CTRL+C -
Every coin is a CTRL+A -> CTRL+C of Bitcoin. Are you trying to say Mink created Bitcoin? If yes, give us the proofs please. His cpuchain code is taken from Bitcoin too. Every coins is. If anything, he should be happy that others appreciated his work and trying to do more with it. But the way he snapped, his every chat is openly readable in our #Old-General channel on discord which if you read, you can see how professional he is. Anyways, don't wanna go into that, really busy. Anyways, please mind your business. You should focus on yours and let us focus on ours.

Thanks! Smiley

Wow!

This must be the most _lame_ rip-off through the history of crypto!? A bunch of kids spending two hours "making their own crypto" - HAHAHA!

And no; forking bitcoin and actually making it into something unique like CPUChain did with loads of work and ideas is not the same as just forking and replacing 2 or 3 words in the source-code. Anybody still wonder why they want to stay anonymous? Tongue

Good luck if anything happens with their chain; I bet the funds will be the opposite of safu.
I'd rather throw my money in a toilet and watch it flush down the drain, than investing in this.

And re-brand it to to what it is: "LightShit" - AAHAHAHAHA!

New account created by Mink (dev of cpuchain) to spread FUD. Why don't you invest your time in doing good? Cheesy
Its a fresh account with 1 post. Really great developer and person you are.  Roll Eyes

HAHA! How about you answer all the questions about your rip-off instead of making yet another false claim?
I don't know Mink or any of the CPUChain devs at all, but I do know their source-code and their work. So do you it seems  Grin Grin

I just started to mine CPUChain a few days ago, and I registered this account for a whole different thing yesterday(you can probably check my other post...?).
Also I live on the opposite side of the planet than dev's of CPUChain, and I am no affiliated other than mining their coin.

So now you avoiding the subject is done with: Perhaps you wanna post the complete diff of the CPUChain-code versus "yours"?
- OH! Do remember to remove all traces of Chinese words this time, so it don't get _that_ obvious as before.

Hello.
I’m testing my exchange here and added your coin.
If interested, then I am ready for cooperation.
Anyway, I’ll be glad if you drop a couple of coins on my exchange to check operations =)

Hello! First of all, thanks for adding LITB Smiley

Second, your exchange design looks really great! So simple and clean. But, majority speaks english in our community, so if you can add a English language page to it, then we can co-operate even better! Thanks again! Cheesy

Thank you for your warm feedback.
I have been developing the exchange on my own from scratch for more than a year - and this is really a very long process.
In the near future I will conduct testing of the main mechanics of performing trading operations and proceed with the transfer of the exchange. At the moment, the language change driver has already been implemented and the process of translating basic information has begun.

To minimize commissions for coin transactions, we will switch to DOGE / LITECOIN. By the way, I got your coin a bit yesterday and now at the moment it can already be bought or sold on our exchange.

This is ur github right?? https://github.com/LightBitDev/LightBit/blob/master/src/crypto/yespower/yespower.c

Code:
#include "yespower.h"

int yespower_hash(const char *input, char *output)
{
yespower_params_t params = {
.version = YESPOWER_1_0,
.N = 2048,
.r = 32,
.pers = "LITBpower: The number of LITB working or available for proof-of-work mining",
.perslen = 73
  };
return yespower_tls(input, 80, &params, (yespower_binary_t *) output);
}

This is CPUChain : https://github.com/cpuchain/cpuchain/blob/master/src/crypto/yespower/yespower.c
Code:
#include "yespower.h"

int yespower_hash(const char *input, char *output)
{
yespower_params_t params = {
.version = YESPOWER_1_0,
.N = 2048,
.r = 32,
.pers = "CPUpower: The number of CPU working or available for proof-of-work mining",
.perslen = 73
  };
return yespower_tls(input, 80, &params, (yespower_binary_t *) output);
}

Apparently replacing CPU with LITB results in an additional 1 charaction and hence ur Personalisation string is now 75 instead of 73 characters.

Im just explaining the post from the cpu-optiminer dev, if u use the actual 73 characters (aka, cutting the last 2 letters  Grin Grin ), this coin is minable with the offical cpu-optiminer as well !!!

No need for a new miner, the official cpu-optiminer works fine

cpuminer.exe -a yespower -N 2048 -R 32 -K "LITBpower: The number of LITB working or available for proof-of-work mini" -o stratum+tcp://XXX -u YYY

Note how the personalisation string cuts off with just 73 chars instead of the full string.

The wallet accepts hash generated using the truncated pers string so it's not a miner issue.
That pers string is now part of the POW specification for the coin. Changing it now is changing
the specification.

Having a seperate parameter for the pers length is bad design. It is not necessary, strlen works fine,
and just creates opportunities for errors, as happened here.

Hi all, a new pool for LightBit has joined the market!

It can be found at http://pool.customspeed.nl !

The pool is setup with YIIMP, the connection in located in Europe, the is set to 1.0% and the payout of confirmed blocks are done every 2 hours.
This pool has already ran as the pool for LAPO (LAX, lyra2zz) for 8 months and has supported it with ease.

The CPU mining clients/workers that are available on the several Githubs can also be used with this pool.

Happy mining!

As of now, I don't think the main feature of having fast transaction speed is optimize yet as it is only listed in one exchange as of now. To cater more crypto users, you need several exchanges to utilize your best feature, which is the transaction speed. So may I ask, what other exchanges are in the pipeline?

As of now, I don't think the main feature of having fast transaction speed is optimize yet as it is only listed in one exchange as of now. To cater more crypto users, you need several exchanges to utilize your best feature, which is the transaction speed. So may I ask, what other exchanges are in the pipeline?

I hear they're trying to get it listed on TradeOgre.

Well said, as you probably know, LITB is listed on 2 exchanges already, and it is listed on a new third one as we speak!  Wink

But I am not going to announce it yet. Also, LOT of exchanges are coming soon! Stay tuned!  Cheesy

Thanks for your interest.  Smiley

Your logo looks very similar to Electroneum's.  Just saying...

But I'll mine LITB anyway.

Sure it does! We like Electroneum and are inspired by it in every way! The "bolt" inspiration for the logo was taken from ETN but if you check closely, the bg and bolt both are really different.

Yes we are, but it will be actually possible only by the support of a BIG community! So we are focusing on that first! Wink

How much is the transaction fee of the LightBit coin?
If you mean the commission of the network when transferring coins from one wallet to another, then it is according to the standard 0.0002 LITB/kb. But the wallet also provides the ability to change the commission manually.

Hi! I've been following Al|ce for some time now on her initial group (which was about new promising projects, rated very subjectively, but also in full transparency), and I've had enough time to appreciate her positive and honest attitude and her good manners as a group leader.

When she launched Lightbit, I thought I would follow this one as well, even though I don't apprehend all that she and her team want to achieve yet.

As always, it's the use cases that will make a difference, so for now, I'm just accumulating while the diff is sooooo low, and we'll see what comes next Smiley

Good luck to the Team!

We have watched this project and the team move along well even in face of controversy.
Continued growth is a good thing for crypto, its not always whp lights the torch but who carries it on and this team is doing its best to appeal to its users and everyone it can.

I have quite enjoyed being able to CPU Mine this.

While you mention "controversy"... lots of times it comes to birth out of jealousy Wink
This coin is easy to mine with a normal CPU, the network hashrate and diff are still very low... needs a bit of polishing here and there, and most importantly...one (or more!) use cases!

Don't forget about the use cases, team Smiley

But already, creating a good vibe in the community is already a nice step.

I like that LightBit has a fairly low supply, and no pre-mine!

Hope there are plans for implementing atomic swaps!

Also, love that LightBit has a low carbon footprint by having a strong community and is planning to allow PoS.

When will PoS be put in place?

Keep up the good work - I hope to help however possible!

whilst it’s a good idea and concept around low carbon mining. You really need to have your wallets working bud, I tried both V1 and V2 and I had similar problems with connecting to peers even adding the nodes manually in V2 from explorer.

To be honest I couldn’t care less for the comments around copying, ultimately all github code is open source and is there to be improved upon, it’s just a little shame that after 3 months you’d expect to see a better framework in place like working wallets, which you will get crucified for.

I really like the idea of no premine etc but the allocation and halving doesn’t make any long term sense ? So by my calculations you are 75% towards the only halving period already ? After three months !!

Wish you guys the best of luck for the future, but I’ll be honest, with Monero hard forking to a CPU friendly randomx at the end of this month and with other projects established with corporate partnerships looking to deliver an actual working use case this year I’m afraid to say unless you have a solid working utility, only a handful of coins will survive in 2020

ok I fixed the wallet issue, for people who are still having connection problems from V1 and are still seeing them in V2 like I was, go to

%appdata% - in the light bit folder copy the wallet.dat to your desktop and remove the whole lightbit folder in the appdata directory

Then download V2 again and replace the new wallet.dat with the previous one you saved. And restart the QT2

Should then start getting connections
