Come on! This is not news anymore, is this? I wonder why some crypto publications still spend time and effort for pronouncements such as this. Tim Draper, Mike Novogratz, Max Keiser, John McAfee, and several others have always been releasing very bullish statements-- to the point of exaggeration-- about Bitcoin's price. The last I heard from one of them is that Bitcoin is gonna hit $15,000 within the week. Well, we have an hour and a few minutes left and Bitcoin is still at $11,300.

It's possible for it to achieve since we still have 4 years to achieve it.  And there was a prediction I just saw that within one week bitcoin could go back to 15000 usd. Let's just wait for it to go up again. I'm currently hodling my btc.

I always loved Tim Draper's optimism when it comes to bitcoin and crypto and we all know how solid of a permabull Tim is, but sometimes his predictions go off the charts and just like Tommy Lee, he sometimes jinx his own predictions and bitcoin prices go south. Anyway though, 2023 is still a far off date; just a little short of 4 years and we all know how dynamic things work in the crypto world. $1M by 2020 is already crossed out, and we don't know whether John McAfee will ever cut his dick on TV by then, but $250K in 4 years is still a pretty much doable figure so yeah, we'll see about that.

I know that this prediction by Draper is more of a long term one but there are many positive predictions as there are negative. We chose to believe the positive ones because we want Bitcoin to succeed that's all. Try to be objective. 50 thousand would be a big achievement for Bitcoin even in the next 2 or 3 years.

This is a Speculation topic. Tim has been bullish to bitcoin and has been speculating many times that the price would be higher. And these medias take every words that he say.

I'd like to happen that $250,000 by 2023 but how many times these known people predicted and got it wrong? they should just teach the people about fundamentals instead of giving them numbers and predictions.

It's not unrealistic if you factor in the fact that most bitcoins held today will be in new hands. Now Draper has so many that I'm sure he will still hold plenty until he dies, but he is a very rare case.

It's very easy why personalities such as Tim Draper is really shilling for bitcoin. This guy is one of the early bag holders and I'm sure majority of his money is on bitcoin. So obviously he needs to pump the market with his exorbitant claims. But who knows, he could be right, so just imagine, owning 1 BTC and just holding it for the next 4-5 years, and what's more if you got like 10-100 BTC by that time.
