There must have been an agreement so that he stays there and we don't know what happened so that he is still in Xabi's coaching staff.

Of course the players are not happy with the very tiring physical training method, but I see from the other side which is also very good. And also if it is related to injuries, then I think it is not fair at all. Because the training method should be good for the player's physical condition when playing, and in relation to injuries I think no one wants that. The problem is that injuries come unexpectedly, other teams feel the same way.

Xabi probably worked with him when he was a football player. Pintus is a coach known for his hard training. If Xabi Alonso wants him on his team, there must be a reason. I attributed the players' tiredness and proneness to injuries to Pintus. I hope it's not like that and we don't see too many injuries next year. I was surprised that he's still on the team.

I quite agree with you regarding Al Hilal's performance in Asian football and also they are the dominant of Saudi Pro league winning the trophy more than any other team in the league. Al Hilal can not be underestimated because of their incredible performance both home and international competition. What brought them to World Cup was due to their incredible performance so I expected Real Madrid should play against them like they are playing with Barcelona because Al Hilal see this as an opportunity for them to explore and try to compete with the top clubs in the world. Real Madrid have to put a lot of effort on this competition so that there should be able to come out clean this season. They have been called with a lot of names which they still have an opportunity to clean it up. I wish them all the best in the coming club World Cup.

Barcelona release Lenglet to make permanent move to Atletico

France defender Clement Lenglet terminated his contract with Barcelona on Monday and signed a three-season deal with Atletico Madrid, where he was already on loan, the two Spanish clubs announced.

"Clement Lenglet and Atletico de Madrid have reached an agreement over the signing of the French international keeping him at the club until 2028. The centre-back, who played on loan this season, arrives on a free transfer," said Atletico on their website.

Lenglet won the confidence of Atletico's Argentine coach Diego Simeone this year, making 34 appearances in all competitions. At the end of the season, the 29-year-old was recalled to the France squad by Didier Deschamps for the Nations League Final Four.

Lenglet joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2018 and made 160 appearances for the Catalan club, but he also had spells on loan at Tottenham and Aston Villa before Atletico last season.

According to the Catalan press, the amicable termination of his contract should enable Barca, the Spanish champions, to free up their wage bill to comply with the financial fair play regulations and recruit this summer.

Al Hilal is not a worthy opponent for Madrid, everyone can easily see the gap between the two teams, and I think Madrid can easily finish as the top of Group H. However, after ending various competitions without winning a trophy, Madrid should not underestimate any of their opponents. It's a bit unfortunate for Madrid that their new signing Mastantuono won't be able to join the squad for the Club World Cup as River Plate are still expecting him to leave after the Club World Cup is over but this could be a good opportunity for some of the players like Arda and other young players especially those who have just arrived to try out whether they can still be in the Madrid squad or not next season.

If they are already signed, it just shows that they’ll be part of the squad next season and maybe they won’t get enough playing time or main squad to start the game due to their poor performances. If they can’t join them to play in the Club World Cup, it is still fine as they can join later. The club has their own reasons to keep him back until then. Barcelona look prime for a low turnover summer, I am not saying they need to rebuild  wholesale, um a little smart moves could tip the balance for bettor & fan alike

Under Flick their midfield & attack are just firing with solid depth. Flick should focus on the defense and goalkeeping section. Ter Stegen was injured during the season. Despite playing in 8 matches, misses are creeping into his game, he made several mistakes in important matches. Along with this, they need a reliable number two.

Another thing, Lewandowski is still bagging goals, but he his 36 knocking at the door. so a worthy replacement for Lewandowski is in demand for the time.

Seriously the fear that the financial crisis of this Barcelona could be danger to their development has been limited by the arrival of Hansi Flick. We all could see that he built a very good side last season that I trust that with little additions this team can be set to challenge for titles for long just like the old Barcelona we all know.

Some of the additions are getting a good center back and full back because the wing backs have been lacking depth lately, the can hard a very good center back to compete with the three they have now and also to create a good depth. As for the goalkeeping department they have Ter Stegen and have given new contract to Szczesny plus they have reportedly signed Espanyol goalkeeper, Joan Garcia and that to me is ok for now.

As for the attack I think they should add a left winger and then a striker and my picks are Rashford and Julian Alvarez for that two positions. With this they will have a better squad depth

They have a problem with Ter Stegen so far. Initial rumours were that he would be sold, but now there are supposedly arguments and battles going on at the club because Barcelona are offering ter Stegen a year's wages just to get him to leave, but the latter is demanding a payment until the end of his contract, which is three times higher. I wonder what will come out of this, whether Szczesny will remain the main goalkeeper, he seems to fit well into the squad

Al Hilal having European players who are old in age is not enough reason to rule them out against Real Madrid because despite that the Saudi League is not popular like the European Leagues but Al Hilal is a team that have a very good record in the AFC Champions League and they have won the most trophies in the Asian Cup Championship. I think if it was to be Real Madrid against Al Nassr you wouldn't have talked about old European players since you know the capacity of Cristiano Ronaldo but that notwithstanding, am not trying to strike a balance between Real Madrid and Al Hilal but the match may not be easy for Real Madrid as we think. Real Madrid has a lot of young players with high standards and quality but they finished the season without trophy so we shouldn't over hype them and they disappoint us at last.

Many youth players sounds like an exaggeration to me, but I think Barcelona's La Masia has proven that they raise more of those young top players than any other academy, or maybe it is because it is Barcelona's policy to give more of them a chance on a more frsquent basis. It does save them money at first, but you can see that if one of those players becomes what they hope these players can become, the salary goes to the moon instantly. Yamal is now the player with the highest salary from next season on I think. In other words, he is not exactly cheap. They didn't have to pay a transfer fee for him, which makes it easier to compete with high salaries for these players, but I remember that Barcelona's biggest problem was the bloated salary structure within the team. Making a 17 years old player the most expensive player in the team, may also raise the interest in higher salaries of any future transferred players or those that are already there.

Barcelona still has enough players in their squad, they don't need to spend a lot of money to buy new players. I think Barcelona will only focus on signing a new striker to have more options in the attacking line. As far as I know, Barcelona targeted 2 strikers (Julian Alvarez, Rashford). But it looks like Julian Alvarez will have a higher chance to be the new striker of Barcelona.

FYI, Barcelona terminated Lenglet's contract. So, Lenglet joined Atletico Madrid as a free agent. He isn't loaned to Atletico Madrid, he joined it permanently.

Barcelona doesn't want to sign new players in a hurry. Since they probably don't need many new players, they can be relaxed first after the season ends. They also don't join the FIFA Club World Cup because they want to focus on preparing the team for the next season. Hansi Flick may have some considerations, so we should appreciate the decision.
