Atletico are back up to 6 points clear now, and Barca still have to play Real Madrid, so at least one of the chasers will drop points. It's starting to look like Atletico's title push is back on track... but having said that, in the remaining 12 league games they still have to play everyone else in the top 6 (except Real Madrid). It is one of the best seasons for both sides indeed. There is only a six-point difference between these teams now. Sevilla lost their last two matches while Betis were winning their ones and the point difference decreased from 12 to 6 in just 2 weeks. But I'd like to add that Sevilla seem as the favorite side to me in this match. Betis-Sevilla match in this season ended 1-1 and Betis had a dominant performance. But this time I think Sevilla will pull the wires and also end their losing streak by defeating Betis.

Atletico were quite dominant in the first half but it ended 1-1. But Atletico managed to make a comeback in the second half with Suarez's penalty goal and it is 2-1 now. ATM finally played that game and now they are all equal games, that's very very important. Real and Barcelona are still within one game difference, Barcelona already got eliminated from Champions league so they will fight harder on la liga (if they can after all that has been done) and I think that's quite important, Real still plays more games than the other two which could mean some fatigue problems or maybe not, we will have to see.

I believe ATM winning this game and making the difference to two games and then some helped them greatly, they will definitely still have a chance to lose that as well, it is not like there are 20 games left anymore, only 12 games left but I think we are getting closer, few more wins and it is going to be very difficult for ATM to lose that point difference, all they need is a bit more wins and after that even during loss they would be at a better advantage.

I also don't expect Real Madrid to lose this easy match. They should get wins as many as possible to able to be more competitive for the championship as there is a big gap with Atletico. I think Benzema will score goal(s) and help his team to win a comfortable victory.

Agree. Real Madrid must get 3 points in the next match, they have no reasons to lose the 3 points this time. They will play at their home and against a weak team, if they cannot get 3 points, I think Real Madrid will finish at the third position this season. Also, to keep the dream for the title, they must be more consistent to win and get 3 points from all the remaining matches.

Agree. Real Madrid must get 3 points in the next match, they have no reasons to lose the 3 points this time. They will play at their home and against a weak team, if they cannot get 3 points, I think Real Madrid will finish at the third position this season. Imo this match will go a long way in deciding which team is going be Spanish champions at the end of this season, Barcelona will hope Athletico drop at least three points before that game, so a win for them will take them to first place, whilst if Athletico tries to be consistent in other games, and at least get a draw against Barcelona, I believe that'll be enough for them to be champions, there's still quite a lot of points to be played for, and there could be a couple more twists and turns along the way.

Of course, I really hope this will be a game that will bring Barcelona and Atletico closer together. Athletico only have themselves to blame, they were far ahead of Barcelona, but dropped quite some points for them (Barca) to close the gap to just six, making it more than recoverable, I don't think the UCL Is going to play too much of a part in deciding the champions, and btw, Athletico are one goal down heading into their second leg CL game against Chelsea, so they well could be out of the UCL as well, and then face the Laliga. If at the end Athletico aren't Champions of Spain, their fans will be pretty much disappointed, having sat at the summit for quite a long time, only to let the title slip out of their grasp.
