Sevilla are really impressing me now with their performance. They are having a quite one-sided game against Mallorca and this has helped them get 2-0 ahead already as well.

This is really the version of Sevilla we would like to see. This is their only way out about not relegating from the La Liga. Mallorca beat Real Madrid maybe but their hands are tied against an effective football by Sevilla now. I hope to see this performance accelerate Sevilla's rise in the standings. But they need to be consistent for at least a couple of weeks first.

I am also impressed with Seville. I knew the sacking of Lopetegui was a good decision. Seville needed new air in their team. They are now playing way better than they did in the first half of the season. You could forgive them for been awful against Barcelona, I guess they were greatly outplayed in that game. Now they've managed to claim to 12th on the table which is really impressive considering how far they've come. The season is still long and let's see if they can make it to the first half of the table. A

It was a good win. Sacking Julen Lopetegui is a nice decision and it has brought development to the team. But I don't think he was the root cause of Sevilla's poor performance.
If you really check well there is nothing new in the squad ever since the Arrival of Jorge Sampaolli. I quest there was an internal difference cuz now , the same players that were giving poor results are playing so well.

Sevilla was seen playing a good football today it was this performance of theirs that made them beat Mallorca 2:0, in this match Sevilla donated everything both first and second half, before this time sevilla was not doing great but this winning today might change the their fortunes of returning to what they are known for but they have to put up hard work in other to remain relevant in the Spanish laliga.

It's so bad and unfortunate that Valencia failed to hold the Athletic club to a draw match after holding them in a 1:1 draw match in the first match. They could have stayed above the relegation zone with a point if they had drawn, which would have been considerably better for them (21points).

It was the goal from Bryan Gill, who is on loan from Tottenham FC that sealed the victory for Sevilla today. Their performance has quite improved I must agree, but if they want to go up on the table, the new manager, Sampaolli would have to start making plans for new signings or on loan players with great potential to add power to the team.

If the team continues in this performance then I think they are capable to win their league but I don't think Barca will gibe them the opportunity because Xavi's focus is on winning the league. Indeed, I did really think that Sevilla's performance this season will be still like previously. But. currently, their performance is exactly increasing and developing very much. I do agree that this is the real Sevilla that we know previously. From 5 matches, they could win 3 matches although with 2 losses, but this is good progress than previously they often got lost in sequences. In this match between Sevilla and Mallorca, Sevilla really could give good pressure and attacks, they tried to make an offensive performance so that making Mallorca's defense bothers. Now, they are no longer in the relegation zone again and are in the middle standing. Really good development and progress of a football club.

I am curious whether Sevilla will be the old Sevilla in the Europa League. Their performances in that competition were almost always excellent, but now they seem to be a bit out of shape. The game against Eindhoven won't be an easy one as Eindhoven is just getting back in shape. The strongest part in the squad used to be the defense for Sevilla. They are doing ok right now, but it's not as it used to be in the past. Who knows, maybe they'll just be on point for the Europa League.

sevilla continues to provide good games and that is evident from the last 5 matches they have played, 3 are wins and 2 defeats. even mallorca didn't manage to make a single threat to sevilla's goal, I admit that in that match sevilla's defense was very solid. in another match, cadiz also managed to win and get out of the relegation zone for a while, hopefully cadiz can continue to get positive results and get further away from the relegation zone.

That's a great achievement by madrid. Al hilal almost make 4 goals. It's very good for madrid winning the FIFA club world cup competition. it seems like that if this time the win against al hilal in the final will be boosting the performance from madrid.

I commented in a previous post that it seems Valencia are destined for relegation to the second division, but I didn't expect it to be this year, which is becoming an increasingly real possibility. Valencia and Sevilla going down would be a shame as they are historic teams and respectively the third and fourth largest cities in Spain in terms of population, but at the end of the day they are private companies that have had terrible management and are going to end up paying for it. At the moment they are doing so with the results and in the future with a possible relegation. What is a bit of a pity are the fans.

Valencia condition this season is very tragic, in the last seven matches that have been played in La Liga, Valencia has only been able to achieve one draw, 6 defeats and never won. A series of poor results achieved have made Valencia fall into the relegation zone, Valencia was only able to collect 20 points from 21 matches. Valencia needs to improve its performance in the remaining matches this season to improve its position in order to survive in La Liga next season.

Sevilla was a little luckier than Valencia, the victory over Mallorca made Sevilla manage to improve their ranking. An additional three points made Sevilla manage to sit in 12th place with 24 points already collected.
