ZCoin sure brings back memories. I was actually live during the main launch and I remember trying as fast as possible to get the buggy software to solo mine and I got lucky and found a few blocks actually. The difficultty started going up very fast when people heard that Roger Ver was backing Zcoin.

Then I remember renting some AWS and doing some CPU mining for Zcoin. The profits were quickly diminishing because there was that wolf0 guy that had like 1000's of CPUs mining Zcoin for weeks.

This was back in the day when BTC was still in the 3 figures. Those were the good old days of mining.
