These days, I see more cpu mining projects which I think is a good sign of growth in the industry because even the father of all cryptos starter with cpu mining and as things were getting more difficult, specific miners were made to mine btc. the problem with all of this is that the team in the forum isn't updated enough to be less attractive to many parties and it's as if the project is dead because there are no updates.
