I have some ideas for you to improve your infographic. I give extra information for each of your three points.

Point #1. It should be revise as:
  • Help new users to Read and learn before compose posts/ threads.
  • Help them to know where they can get forum rules, types of offence when someone violate forum rules, what is pinned threads and importance of pinned threads in each boards/ child boards
I don't think that the suggestion to focus on local boards is good one because the forum is international one, and someone whom have good English skills enough, can join English-written boards.

Point #2. It should be revised as:
  • Reading and knowing how to search effectively (to find available answers, guides)
  • Reading about importance indicators of one account: Trust, feedback, and flag that relates to trustworthiness and scam history
  • Where to get most contentful and regularly updates on scam issues

Point #3. It should be revised as:
  • Try to help others and get help
  • Try not violate forum rules (spend spare time to read rules repeatedly)
  • Read, search, and read before asking/ discussing
  • Try to make creative threads/ posts, don't repeatedly write what others done without new creative/ valuable points
They should read my thread, too. I quoted some main points.
Promotion with merit system and new rank requirements. It's possible.
Quote
(1) Never begging for merits
(2) Spending most of your time to read and learn
(3) Never copy and paste without links to sources, or without quotes
(4) Never mind of bounties, campaigns when you are noobs
(5) Learn from inspirational stories. Learn from merited users, topics, posts
(6) Spend your time to improve your English, especially Reading and Writing skills
(7) Don't pay your attention on post-lenghth  (Ideas that I took from theymos' Writing a welcome message)

It's actually a good idea to stay connected with your local board (not just for merits) and I'm saying that based on what I experienced also. You get to interact with your countrymen and you also get a chance to meet them in local events. In a way, local boards help spread crypto awareness in local communities.

On a side note, the first point should have been gain knowledge. You can't really help much or share valuable information to others if you don't have it.

It depends on situation of each local board. How users in that local board spam, and how helpful they are. If one local board only has spam, non-sense, pointless posts; there is no reason to stay with local board. Importantly, if someone have acceptable English reading skill, they should expand to international boards (with English), because most of helpful and lively updated things are in international boards.

If someone make a good thread, they will do make it in international board, then translate them in local language, or vice versca. In some cases, you can only find what you need with English-written posts or threads, and can not find them in local boards because people don't translate original threads into local languages.

I read a post from admin, that he felt regret to create Japanese local board, because spam, low-quality posts, and it is difficult for theymos to find good users whom can play as moderators for that board.

That corrects, finding scam to help people more aware, the goal is to help people not just for merits. we got merit just for bonus for this forums. When i finding a scam potential project, it make me more aware about where i must invest money in the future. That is the goal. Even i not get merit from scammer project i find, its no problem. because i still got knowledge from that research  Wink

it is always good to help newbies in local board.
However, not all locals have merit sources. Some local are really a merit fest, but some of them are almost impossible to receive a merit (like Portuguese board).

I think beginners and help boadd and technical support are the best places to help newbies and receive merit.

Oops, sorry, I don't know about that, because this infographic based on my experience and most of the merits earned on local boards, so I include it to this tips.

Yeah, lot of member earned merit from Beginner and Helps and Meta boards. But for me, it not giving much because i'm not active on these boards.

Btw, Nice sharing.

I have received a decent amount of merits from my local board (1 merit source) so I think it is also a good tip to stay active in local boards. I just want to point out that emphasis must be given to helping rather than getting merit.

Local boards are vary rather variable in terms of merit distribution, and it will depends on the number of Merits Sources that visit them, the content of the posts, and the amount of participants and generated posts. For example, if we were to compare just one of the above variables (Merit Distribution), a comprehensive representation for the merit distributed over the last six month for some of the local boards would look like this: https://public.tableau.com/shared/F7TN6F5GS?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link

Without entering the content/quality of the posts themselves, a quick idea of the number of posts created (nearly) over that same six month time period varies as follows per local board represented in the above link:
Indonesian (22,8k posts; 20,1K of them in Altcoins), German (20,9K posts; 10,8K of them in Altcoins), French (9,6K posts; 2,2k of them in Altcoins), Italian (7K posts; 1,4K of them in Altcoins), Spanish(*) (3,1K; 1,3K of them in Altcoins), Portuguese (4,6K posts; 1,2K of them in Altcoins), Croatian (3,8K posts; 1,7K of them in Altcoins), Dutch (0,7K; 0,6K of them in Altcoins).

I’ve used this to derive the above: https://public.tableau.com/shared/JCJP64562?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link
(*) over a 5 month period roughly; the sixth month was a clean-up period and lots of threads were deleted.

<…> I didn't see Arabic board in your stats. I believe that's another  board with great amounts of merit circulating <…>
Yes, I omitted more than half of the local boards in this post for simplicity purposes. Nevertheless, the links I provide allow us to play around with the filters, and select a different set of Local Boards to compare (adding Arabic for example). The data I have is homogeneous for all Local Boards.

By looking at the data you provided, Spanish board has less posts than portuguese and more than the double merit earned (1122 merit Spanish x 522 merit Portuguese)

Indonesian, another example, has only 5x more posts but 10x more merit, and so on.

I agree that there is a relation between number of posts and merit, but that's not a perfect relation.
I would like to see merit source x number of posts data, this is the issue here.

I didn't see Arabic board in your stats. I believe that's another  board with great amounts of merit circulating

Improve your technical skills this will get you more attention and als the merits will follow.

Finding scammers may give more merits but if you are doing this just for merits then people will ignore you after some time.

People are flooding the scam accusations with the most obvious scam projects.  It just gets pointless after awhile, they are low effort scams that just clog up that board.

If you want merit the biggest thing is what section you post in.

Yes, it's good when you good in local but if you need merit to enroll the sig campaign,
remember that most campaign require english based language.

Local become the starting point to gain your ranks up and the next level will be global board

META used to be most merited section in 2018 but I guess it changed now and mostly people making merits from local boards and least on other main discussion boards.

Looking over the data for the last six months (see chart here: https://public.tableau.com/shared/Y9HGZHMZG?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link), the most merited sections are: Meta (11,73%), Marketplace (11,09%), Russian (9,19%), Economics (9,11%), Trading and Discussion (8,16%), Bitcoin Development & Technical Discussion (5,60%), Beginners & Help (5,16%), Indonesian (4,15%), German (3,80%), and so on (see above link).

Some sections are lead by specific threads such as WO in Economics.

Yes, but to ranks up from local board it's not easy too, at least from these boards I can learn many things about this forums and crypto world. I can asking more easy because we can communicated with our native language. I am just can speak in English little bit, so for member like me, they can start to learn before trying to get merit from local boards.

That's pretty much it. No need to research any further. There's little merit to be had in local boards, none in any alt section.

Meta is the merit fountain, particularly any stats about the forum itself. I've no idea why that is but it's been very consistent since merit was implemented. My best guess is it's populated by people who are interested in and care about the forum and they tend to be established members. I think it's a bit silly myself.

Other than that my advice to anyone is -

Be yourself and follow and develop what truly interests you. You can instantly tell when someone doesn't know or care what they're writing about. It reads as completely hollow and you tend to forget it as fast as you read it. If you're not engaged with what you've written expect no one else to be either.

I'd be just as likely to merit a good question as an answer.

Stop thinking ten paragraphs somehow makes your post 'better'. If you have a point then make it as quickly and concisely as possible. Waffle does not equal quality.

If you can't write English properly, go write in a language where you can make yourself understood. If I turned up and started writing junk Russian I'd be told to bugger off and that would be fine with me.

A good point for newbies struggling to be rewarded here. a lot has ASKED for help on how to build their profile. hard work pays. work hard and share your knowledge with others and you will find your way to the top.
another very important rule is never to copy other peoples work. share only the informations you are very such about. make sure the information is legit and authentic.

One of important thing to earn merits from posts, is ability to keep it as succint as possible. No one want to spend too much time to read a post, so if poster can make their posts shorter, but still maintain enough ideas and explanations, they should do it.

Length of post does not equal to post quality. In contrast, there are some components that build up post quality, includes:
- English (if you post in English language)
- Creative and problem-solved ideas for your posts
- Stay on main ideas and develop main ideas well and easy to understand with supportive ideas.
- Don't forget to have a topic sentence for your posts, if you have a long post to write.
- As always, if you can answer question shortly, let keep it shortly (the longer your post is, the more probability you will give distraction to readers).
