I do not want to mislead people because I am not an expert in trading or cryptocurrencies. However, what I would do is holding some BTC about %20 and with the remaining, I would trade alts often. But you have to watch the prices every minute so a BTC move would not effect your funds that much. We have to keep an eye on BTC to get the best profit Market is so volatile.

I think investing $ 1,000 into bitcoin and $ 500 into other coins is a good decision, of course you already know or have learned about the failures you made before that will make you more careful in observing each coin before investing in it and I only suggest analyzing what you will you invest before investing into it.

You can buy cheap altcoin under 0.5 cent and you can take much profit later if price up above $1 like Ripple coin, but you can invest with ethereum although have higher price your investing with ethereum safety because ethereum price always up later, when down maybe you lost little but keep holding if you want to choose ethereum as your investing, now you have option for your investing ethereum or coin have lower price under $1.

I don't think it is a good idea to invest in BTC right now, the value is still quite high compared to its price on the past few months. As to what is being suggested by many, you should really try TRON. It seems to be in a really good shape and there are a lot of people showing its current market value which means it is a legit good one. You should avoid investing on new coins for the best because most of them promises a lot of things but in the end it is just a fraud and scam.
