game-protect is annoying for a lot of us. He keeps posting off-topic in various topics and keep talking his nonsense. Users including me are guilty of feeding his trolling. I decided to stay silent in his responses but start reporting his off topics.

Now while I already started to report his off-topic posts, I discovered the trick he is using to look his off-topic trolling is not off-topic.

The original was indeed very identical to make up your mind in a flash of moment that it was spammy post, trolling and off-topic but now when he updated the same post, it does not look much spammy. It still looks trolling and slightly off-topic but question is can a mod will agree with me after looking on the updated post? (I do not care much)

Now when I clearly explained something in my post here:

I just discovered a solution. Whenever I will see an off-topic response from game-protect, I will report it to the moderator.

He posted an obvious question here:

Unfortunately I believe GP is viewed more as a "service" provider, than a plain troll & shitty poster.
Hiding behind his offers and a few of his posts being directly aimed at some gambling game operators so they explain what they do better.

It's half/half. Because he relies on bulying some gambling games operators, some end up giving him money so he stops, and the rest won't care.

Now from the point of view of the moderation team, it's a tough spot because as long as they consider him as a "service" provider, I think they won't do anything.
Since scams aren't moderated (banned), GP benefits from this kind of "immunity".
He isn't the random scam artist, he put a lot of time into designing it and he's at it almost daily.

He needs to constantly keep a blurred line between a "business" and being a bully. Which you got to admit, he's doing a great job at.

I remember once he wanted to "hire" a sales manager (or whatever lunatic position he can think of). Well guess how this went when he was asked for the location of his offices.

Yeah, you could easily put him on ignore but that doesn't really solve the problem. He should be banned, period.

Ban for trolling and that too in interweb? Not sure if that's a suitable approach. Trolling can be dealt with active moderation and put on ignore. Ban is the last option for rare cases when the first 2 options fail to provide a solution, and well It's working fine for me TBH. You might want to try this for a couple of months. If it does not work for you, then you can surely repeat your words and I quote " He should be banned, period" But first you gotta try it brother.

And if by any chance hammering comes in plays just because of trolling then a list of trolls could be long..

1. Flat Earth vs Everyone
2. Religious - Atheist
3. Pro-Gun vs Everyone
4. Every political group (right-left-up-down-centre)

I don't view GP as a service provider, nor does 99% of the board (I believe).
But my opinion about GP, and the opinion of most of the users who expressed theirs about GP, is not going to do anything.

I'm all for free speech and allowing everyone on your platform no matter their political stances/observations, but when you start spamming people's trust lists with stuff that's obviously false. (Being a rapist, & mentally ill because of X), really, some action should be taken...?

I believe he was temp-banned? but most of the trust still remains. Or did he do it again after his tempban? I know it doesn't matter (for most people), but it just looks extremely stupid to me and it's just overall slightly annoying to get smeared like this. People who are new to the forum and look at my trust list (or people in general who are ignorant of who he is), might actually get the wrong impression of me. Anyway.

Not to mention that his business model is nothing but blackmailing casinos. I'd say he has quite the set of (missing) morals,- although that in itself shouldn't be bannable, it just shows he's a big f-ing asshole.

I have less of a problem with his apparently off-topic posts than I do with his feedback spamming.  Even though he's not on DT, some members will be swayed not to trade with someone with a lot of negative trust, even if it's obviously wrong.  I know that issue was reported in at least one thread, but I don't think it was ever resolved.

I'm pretty sure it's not a moderator issue but one with Theymos, who's the mods' boss.  I have a hard time believing moderators don't want to ban this guy--but I could be wrong, and I'm not sure because nothing has been transparent.  But given that game-protect leaves spam negative feedback and is breaking all sorts of rules (apparently), I tend to think the moderators' hands are tied to some extent.  Perhaps they can chime in.

Almost all forums and social media platforms are free and you can create more accounts if you want, that doesn't mean they don't ban people, that excuse is probably the stupidest excuse I have ever read, yeah let's just let everyone spam, troll and shit post because he can create another account.

Not everyone is as anonymous as you are. If you have an account here with a real name or something that can attach you to your identity, i neither would be happy if i were to have a trust list with people calling me a "Child rapist" or "Mentally Ill".

Really, that's 4chan tier, and while it might be the epitome of free speech, i don't think that's the direction we should be headed with this forum.

Newbies who aren't familiar with the forum who look at your trust list and see a bunch of fake retaliatory ratings (especially of this severity), might definitely impact how you're perceived by them, even if the ratings are completely false. I've had this happen before. So, no, it's not completely harmless (or has the potential not to be anyway.)

Just my two cents though.
