Vitalik Buterin is ‘Very Confident’ About Ethereum 2.0 Launching Phase

As Buterin said, Ethereum 2.0 aims to run ‘tens of thousands of transactions per second’ and he is sure that the new network will facilitate a number of on-chain transactions while maintaining key aspects of decentralization and security.

At the beginning of next year, the launch of the initial phase of Ethereum 2.0 is taking place. On Tuesday, during the 80,000 hours podcast devoted to solving the most pressing problems in the world of cryptos, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin delivered a speech in which he commented on this event and shared his ambitious plans for Ethereum.

According to Buterin, he is ‘very confident’ about the launching phase of Ethereum 2.0, however, he is not sure about the incentives that make people use blockchain.

Is this enough to say that we may see ETH 2.0 the catalyst for the this altcoin to finally break and have its own path in 2020 regardless of the so called bitcoin block halving?

We all know that there are competitions already that's why ETH is losing so much value in this market. But I think with this news we could very well see it relieving its former glory.

I don't agree with it. When IEO launchpad is not yet popular like this time and ethereum can still defend its price from the competitors caused by the majority of icos are using ethereum as native crypto to get funding from the public investors.
Competitors are nothing for ethereum and IEO platform is the main threat to the ethereum platform which has already robbed almost all of the demand from ethereum.
At least vitalik has already given a confirmation if ethereum 2.0 will come next year.
Ethereum will have moved to the POS way and it will be leaving POW.
Blockhalving will have needed by ethereum to achieve POS and determine the total supply.

It's what many Ethereum supporters and even doubters are waiting for so I will not be surprised if the new network will spark new interest and increase its value in the process. It's exciting to know that there's a possibility for ethereum to increase in value in few months time, the issue of Bitcoin dominance has led so many to loose trust in altcoin, I do hope that the ethereum 2.0 would be a reason for an increase in the value of ethereum.

His confidence is the boost for the entire cryptocurrency users who have been following the moves of ethereum. It is a marvel in the crypto ecosystem, but the growth didn't last for a much longer time period.

Vitalik is making ETH future ready! He foresees increasing adoption of cryptocurrency in near future and he believes that a major portion of these new adoptions will use ETH chain and smart contract capability to launch their business, so is doing the needful well in advance.

However, my personal opinion is that moving to POS consensus will ruin the value of ETH. Even though I don't know what's exactly is going to happen and I want my opinion to fail because I am also an investor of ETH, but making it easier for the mass to earn ETH will make it less exclusive and thus ruins its value! But it's my personal opinion only and  time will show us the reality!

I have to say that they finally have good timing.  After 4 years of existence critical update will come in a time of Bitcoin halving. Bitcoin halving should bring a new a bull run to the market and if Ethereum is not strong enough, then Ethereum will never see the ATH price again.

Okay so lets start staking after this update I wanna see mine multiply and sell. If all of those who are staking are going to earn a lot of ETH without mining, don't you think the price will keep declining?  Though I can see ETH's demand will continue to be increase because of the projects, the fact that it doesn't require mining anymore then its easy for those who earn ETH to sell.

Basically this upgrade may spike a good momentum in the breaking of the over due silent Bitcoin has kept the altcoins since it superb dorminance. With this ETH 2.0 many issues which has been slowing the project down will be address. With this my hope of the altcoins coming back to live is visible come 2020.

ETH 2.0 could be the catalyst that we all have been waiting for. It is rescheduled 2020, and prior to the bitcoin block halvening. So there's a chance that before that to happen, ETH will also surge and the timing is going to be perfect for the altcoin market as well to make a bull run coincide with the Bitcoin as well. Although the move is also critical and controversial, (moving to POS consensus), I think this could be the only thing that Vitalik could do at this point 're-create' ETH itself. And after 4 years in the making, it is long overdue, IMHO.

It something gives hope to all the investors. Will it be hoped that doesn't just talk but to be in reality. Investors never get tired of waiting if they have assurance and that's Mr. Vitalik says will be a big help for us not to give up and patiently wait for another year to come and see ETH soaring back again.

If this is achieved, it is a value added to  Ethereum blockchain.
No one, most especially the lovers of ethereum is happy with the recent performance of ethereum. A coin that is supposed to at least by 50% grow independent of bitcoin, is seen to be falling despite the bitcoin uptrend.
However, with this news, I believe that there will be a better outcome, irrespective of the focus on bitcoin.
