It's not really "on faith". The people involved (phishead and polymerbit) have reputations that are valuable. The value of their reputations far exceeds the value of the XMR being loaded onto these notes. They also have a track record for doing it "right", so you don't have to worry about them getting hacked. It'd be illogical and nonsensical for them to tarnish their reputations to make a few thousand easy bucks.

The community here keeps very good track of breached coins, cold wallets, etc. You should check that thread out if you're curious.

Hey doing your due diligence is a lost art form in the world of crypto, that’s a good thing. But yeah, basically what Ghost is saying is correct. A lot of the “faith” aspect just has to do with people trading with other people for years and just getting a good reputation on the forum. Could I and another highly trusted trader both collude to exit scam? Sure it’s possible, but we would never do that because I’m in it for the long game of having a cool project to look forward too every 6 months and polymerbit doesn’t want to exit scam because it’s financially idiotic to do that because he knows he has a new project to earn money from the work he does every 6 months.

In my opinion, it’s just a cool way to incentivize people donating to the development team while also getting a cool piece of crypto artwork with that donation.

Alrighty so a little update:

So I updated the addresses and view keys for each serial number for both the 100 & 200 milli moneroj notes.

How I'm hoping this will work, is that when Minerjones receives these notes I will let everyone who has bought notes know on this thread and PM.  It is important to remember that I plan on having the tx hash available for others to verify the notes funding in the future.  I will include these tx hashes beside the address and view key... please try and remember to include your tx hashes with your serial numbers in this thread for me Thank you.

Alright everyone, so I'm gonna just post this here and whoever would like to participate can if they chose to do so.  I know it's a little disillusioned to think everyone would, but from a "collectible" point of view I would think that it's in your best interest for you to do this now rather than not.

I'm going to post all of my tx hashes and what note serial # they are associated with and I will use one of them to be an example for how people can verify that their XMR was actually sent to the note.  Mind you, every note that has been sent out will be verified by either Minerjones (or myself) as being funded after the user funds the note... it's the user that will have to post the tx hash on this thread in order to act as a poor man's "certification" that other people can see that indeed the note has been funded.

Step 4:

Notice how now you can see that the view key was able to reveal the true stealth address and how much your wallet received.  In this case you will see 0.1 XMR was received and verified.
