Hey,

I have used JSON for bitcoind and worked great.

I was looking for some guides or information on using JSON for getting and using information from MtGox and BitcoinCharts; anyone help me with this?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Just note, the mtgox response time can be problematic.  I'm in the process of upping my timeout and fetching the updates asynch with my MinerStatus android app.   I should have been async from the start, but I was learning how to make an android app Wink
