Just wanted to get your thoughts on this matter. Can the name of a project provide significant benefit or detriment to a project if it is appropriate/unappropriate or unattractive/attractive -sounding? I am not sure how much of an impact it has.
I think this is important, you should choose an informative name to describe your project. or you want to a unique name that has no meaning but is very ear catching.

An appropriate name is required to a project in my opinion. Nowadays, people take cryptocurrency seriously because of how many dollars are involve in. If you name your coin inappropriately, for example "thanos coin" or "Le trollz coin", do you think people will take that seriously? I would not.
Yes, we do have a meme coin like "doge coin" that succeed but the only reason it succeeded was because it's one of the first coin created as a joke so people had fun on it until it became too big. Well doge coin has a purpose because it has one of the smallest fee and fastest transaction in the past so it's not really irrelevant.
But a name is a name, the real thing that would still drive people is its purpose.

A good-looking, beautiful name is also very important to the success of the project. It gives the customer a good impression and allows the customer to better remember the project, so a project can be wise to take a name when it starts. Make the project more memorable.

Since the name of the project is the first thing we see/hear therefore it is really important for me for the project to have a good name. A catchy name is always a great add on.

The name of the project is important because it is the first thing received by the potential investors, and should be attractive for them. But it is not the most important factors, in my opinion, there are more important factors like the product, the team, and the whitepaper.

as "currency" you want the name to be easy to pronounce, remember and in general you want it to be friendly all over the world so that people can easily use it without twisting their tongues! but the importance of name is not really something you should even spend that much time about. it is such a small thing. the most important thing is the project itself and whether it is really providing anything useful for the users to use it! in short a shitty project with the best name would fail just like a shitty project with a terrible name.

Does it really matters? i guess not, i have seem weird project names in crypto space like en-tan-mo , taklimakan etc but the fact is they are good projects doing very well so names doesn't matter at all, investors must not pick projects because of names but what the project what created to deliver to users

I believe the name of a cryptocurrency project is very important. It is the initial step for branding the project. It also define how well the project developer thought about it and how they value that project. It also gives an initial impression to the project and the team. Aside from that choosing the right name can give your project a boost especially if the project have a name that can be easily remembered or can be retained in the mind of the reader for very long time.
Well, especially name is unique and has a clear philosophy towards project they are developing. Indeed, name of project is only 1 or 2 words, but a professional and real project will not only develop product, but they will think long about branding name they made. It's not even a matter just branding names, but logo that they will plan must be in accordance with objectives of their project. So a branding name will explain everything about their project, of course, a name must be easy to remember and unique.

For me it's important, just like any business, a name should connote something about the business, I have seen a lot of useless and shit names in the ICO's in the past, I have seen one coin named Fartcoin, Barrabas coin, now who in the right mind will invest in this kind of coin. Even if you have a very good concept, investors will not see that if you fail to give your coin a good name with a good recall and something that will represent your concept.

The first thing that came into investors' minds is the impact of the project's name. The target venue and the potential names are the very important as it will attract people to read about the project. If the name sounds great, it will have a certain recall and it will be able to catch interest, and it will be added from the list of possible targets to bring your money in. Aside from its first impression, name also caters the weight of the project. If there's anything that will make investors to get more details about the project, it's the name that will work for them to come out.

Name of the project has a huge impact, in fact, some investors will readily invest in a project with a good name on it, and so many domain name is being reserved for projects, because it is one of the first that attract investors to a project, I remember one coin that has a name BIGUP and it created a stir because the name already has an impact and goal.

A project's name should be easy to remember and at the same time should be catchy! Any project's name that is easy to recall tends to be more popular contributing more brand awareness that will be beneficial to the project itself. Imho.

To be honest-for me it is absolutely not important.Much more important are the names of the team, project managers or project partners. What matters is the idea and the product they offer.

I think Ethereum is a cryptocurrency that has a lot of positive impacts which I think is very significant for crypto life today. one example that is currently being discussed is the STO system on every current orogram. I think this system is very helpful for investors and especially like us bounty hunters. This system prevents fraud or a scam program. yes maybe it still exists in cyberspace as well as any system can still be misused by people who are less responsible.

For me the name of the project number two, where when participating in the project, research and workflow of the project is the first thing that interests me. The name affects number two, if the name makes sense, I think the goal also makes sense until the project is successful and ends

The name of a project is an important element only if the project itself is good. The fact is that if a terrible project has the best name, it will still be a terrible project. It works and vice versa, a good project can have a terrible name.

I enjoyed reading comments below your post. The name matters but it’s not everything. And don’t forget that perception of it is really subjective.
